Nadal in straight sets. I know diego’s a fighter but i don’t see him taking a set.
He called on Anderson comeonning after everypoint, and it was his opponent’s end.
It will be even easier for Diego to find something more serious to complain about Rafa.

This is Diego's mission; turn this match into a grinding marathon.:p

6-4 5-7 6-3 6-4 Nadal.
Wow, you really think it'll be that close? I'm happy Diego has fought hard and won some new fans, but it will be surprising if he wins more than 10 games (and that's being generous). What weapons on clay does he have to hurt Nadal? Though he did take a set from Rafa at this year's AO.

Diego needs to grind, tire Rafa out and make this a long match.

Worked at AO. :p

He lost the first two sets against Kevin Anderson (not exactly known for his clay court prowess) badly. Then had to fight back to break serve when Anderson served for the match in the 3rd set and the 4th set. Now he goes up against the King of Clay after a tough 5 set match and only one day of rest between the matches, while Rafa breezed through his match against Marterer. Could be trouble for sweaty Diego.

I don't think fatigue will be an issue. Diego can take another 5 setter after tomorrow, that is no problem. And think at the fact that he will be in Philippe-Chatrier playing Rafael Nadal - The Mecca of clay court tennis with its God -. How many players around the world have this honour every year? Yep not many, that is 7!
The thing is that Diego will enter court and will want to win. Rafa's tactic will be more 'vertical' here, it's not going to be a game of angles but...push, push behind and wait for a shorter ball, and we might see some very long rallies. It is to the ability of Diego to find the right position on court and get perfect timing on the ball, this is the only way he can begin to think to make some damage on Rafa.

What a suspenseful match! Nadal is facing some tough competition and has to navigate through a rough draw. I will be shocked to see him in the semi.
