Will Italy have another player in QF?

H2H is 2-1 Cilic, but pretty irrelevant I believe. Last match was in 2011 and won by Cilic on Hard in a battled 3 setter. Then 1 straightforward win each even before that both on clay.

Who is Marin pointing to? "Fabio, tomorrow you go nowhere!"

It is amazing that it has been 7 years since these guys have played!

You never know with Cilic, he can play incredible tennis and find crazy form out of nowhere. And Fog can wake up, not feel it and then pack it in and play like crap. I actually think Cilic should be favored. Hope I’m wrong!

Yeah I think Cilic is a favorite in this match, but remember: when they say God works in mysterious ways, Fog says "Hold my prosecco!"

I really hoped Fog would take the opening set. I hope he doesn’t fold like a cheap tent now, as he so often does. Cilic is really focusing.

Wait till they play, see the result and then get back with me.

Lol, too easy option - Rafa will win against anybody.

Fog can't hang with Rafa in BO5, he can barely get through BO3 matches without collapsing in one form or another...

I love Fog, don't get me wrong :)

Nadal would beat Fognini too. Fognini doesn't have the chops to go best of five with Nadal on Chatrier IMO.

I feel the only person who could possibly beat Nadal in his half of the draw is Del Potro. Del Potro has the ability to do it but I'm not sure if he believes he can do it. It depends what side of the bed he wakes up on on the day.

Fogini is hands down the only player that can take out Nadal, hope he beats Cillic.

You're not even warm!

Del Poro is the only guy in Nadal's section who has the game and mental power to do it but I'm not sure if "he" believes he can do it. Who knows with him?

Exactly, yet someone questions why Nadal will destroy him next round. Nadal has destroyed 99% of opponents on clay for 14 years. It’s not rocket science.
Marin Cilic h2h vs Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Wawrinka, Del Potro combined = 11-61 and most of those 11 wins when these guys were tired, injured or out of form. I can already bet that he'll lose in the QF no matter what happens in the Del Potro-Isner match.

But what can we expect from a guy who's 1-6 against Simon.

I truly believe Dennis Swartzmen has enough weapons to knock out Nadal. He's played some good tennis, even beat a US open finalist Anderson. Maybe Dennis can win the FO and US open this year, and end up as world number 3.

Cilic has by far the better backhand of the players left in Rafa's half...

Delpo has not been in top form in a while, but of course he can always surprise :)

No chance.

He can win a set though because Nadal is far from his best.

That's what I mean, with him you never know if he's going to conk out or go all the way. He plays possum a lot and probably talks down his chances in the media but on the other hand, he has the rare winner's mentality. It's hard to figure him out from tournament to tournament.
