Can't have threads for Queens and Wimbledon, but not the event that is played on Roger-Federer-Allee in Halle. :)

Can Fed repeat? Have voted for him, but I do have a feeling if he goes deep in Stuttgart he doesn't win Halle.

Isner has withdrawn.

When did he withdraw?

EDIT: OK, I've found some reports now. Weird that there hasn't been any main news report of this as far as I can see (I did google it before making the OP in the hope of making sure I had the most up-to-date information). Will edit OP.

Good thread title but the other one was even more hilarious. This is not a strong era trolling era after all, more like Zverev-at-the-slams era :D

Federer's projected path:

R1: Bedene
R2: Paire/Johnson
QFs: Kohlschreiber
SFs: Thiem/Pouille/Tsitsipas
F: Zverev/Nishikori/RBA/Gasquet
That's a pretty reasonable draw. Still, 5 matches in 5 days will never be easy at his age.

If he wins Stuttgart, will he even go all out for the title? It would be his 10th at Halle, so somewhat special.

Yeah, it's a bit tricky. Let's see how his match with Kyrgios goes. If he starts on Wednesday, then he'd have to play five straight days to win, that's kinda tough.

I hate to say it, but if Dr Ivo doesn't make something magical happen at Wimbledon, I think he might be done. :(

At some point he's going to be pushed to playing challengers, and it's super unlikely that he'll be able to make any in-roads back on the challenger circuit when every match he plays comes down to just a few points, and can be 50/50 -- not to mention, that he's just not mentally there in the TBs. And the same thing can be said for going into qualifying draws -- why bother when it's practically a coin toss in every match you play. He's on a six match losing streak.

Looks like he is done now . How many TB loss this year alone

I think he will.Firstly because of winning another Halle title and secondly because of keeping the Number one ranking. If he wins Halle he will keep the first position minimum until the end of Wimbledon.Plus the draw is decent and he wont have problems imo.

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Lucas Pouille

Borna Coric vs Alexander Zverev

Federer vs Bedene
The notable early matches and hoping Tsitsipas gets more than one match.
Still this tournament until the latter stages

Fed 0-2 vs Thiem lately for SF and potential Zedzilla final.

Potential Thiem vs Tsitsipas/Pouille QF and Gasquet v Zverev QFs very watchable.

Federer says he expects his first match to be on Tuesday. Driving to Switzerland today and watching the world cup match there, then flying to Halle on Monday.

Yep,the next 48 hours will be hectic. Maybe he doesn't want to play five days in a row (assuming he wins the title).

I literally had no idea Zverev was even entered this tourney this year, due to his injury.

Suddenly this shows up on my YouTube feed.

Quite a shock I can assure you.

Nontheless, Fed had better be hoping he doesn't run into Sascha in the final, because then the dream run on grass will unfortunately be concluded. Sascha's level during the clay stretch was higher than anything we've ever seen from him, yet still only the beginnings of his potential. If he is healthy he takes this title bashing Fed in their third annual meeting in Halle.

Lol you’re actually a pretty reasonable poster but as soon as the conversation turns to Zverev all common sense just goes away.:D

No way Zverev beats a fit and healthy Fed on grass even if he is 281728191101 years old.

I can’t figure out if you’re really serious when posting this stuff or just have a really dry sense of humor. Zverev never had an injury at RG, he was just gassed from playing long matches against a trio of non-name mugs. And whatever Zverev’s highest level is on grass, it’s about 30% of what Fed has at 36.
