Noticed that too, but didn’t want to contribute to the rampant hand wringing by bringing it up. A bit worried TBH.Is something wrong with Fed's right wrist/forearm? Saw him bending his wrist back and forth at a changeover which I've never seen him do before.
For me at least, since I was also watching that via live scoring and it's more stressful than watching video. This was as crazy as Federer/Coric at IW.
Fed fans if he wins: What a player, he wins even when he has bad days!
if he loses: He is tanking to be ready for Wimbledon! yeah sure...
I keep thinking the same thing. There’s never been another player who has lost so many matches while being MP up.
Yeah like Paire deserved it.I only watched bits because I was watching Kyrgios but Fed looked terrible. He squeaked that one and truthfully didn’t deserve the win.

Not like injured bad, but overall pretty meh. Serve wasn't sharp, missed a couple of important sitters. Sliced a lot. Dumped routine shots but he always does a few of those. Kept hitting to the wrong side. Meanwhile, Bennie grew a Paire, served great until the very end, took a set from Roger for the 1st time.I’ve only seen couple of the last points... did Fed play really that bad?
Yeah, the guy was actually very clutch for his standards, many good first serves while being under the pressure. He did nothing wrong on those MPs, Paire saved them with great play.
Remind us again when Rafa got to second week of Wimbledon? Was it 6 years ago or seven?I hope this forms continues throughout the rest of the grass court season![]()
He wasn't garbage at AO or Rotterdam, even in IW he didn't start mugging it up until semis. Played fine at Stuttgart as well.
Maybe you're holding him to some too high standards considering everything?
nah, the good matches have outnumbered the bad ones clearly.
he's lost only 2 matches.
Edit : only 2 real ugly wins have been Coric in IW and this one.
The 4th round counts as the second week at Wimbledon, but I'm not sure if that's something to be proud of.Remind us again when Rafa got to second week of Wimbledon? Was it 6 years ago or seven?
Might be best for you to stay away from Fed match threads then.Fed fans if he wins: What a player, he wins even when he has bad days!

Garbage was maybe too strong a word, he was decent at the AO and good in Rottadam - definitely good for the last 3 matches last week as well. IW and Miami were poor. Overall I've not been impressed like I was last year by his play.
He was good in Rottadam and Stuttgart after the first match but otherwise he's not impressed me IMO. Even at the AO he played well enough but he never blew me away.
Maybe I am just expecting too much.

It's the first comment in this thread from me, so I didn't really follow too much of it.Might be best for you to stay away from Fed match threads then.
You might be onto something there. its an scandal, a outrage.Fraud only won cuz they cheated for him and closed the roof
Still almost (and should have) won IW with his B/C game.
Honestly today is encouraging for me. As long as he's healthy it's going to be quite a tall ask to take 3 sets in one match off of him on grass unless he plays like he did today for an entire match. Unlikely. And even then, it has to be someone that can mentally finish the deal. I can count on one hand the people I'd trust to do that.

Technically, associates Kyrgios and Muller presented their cases on the second Mondays of 2014 and 2017 but it's now coming up on six years since Rosol & Co. began practicing at SW19.Remind us again when Rafa got to second week of Wimbledon? Was it 6 years ago or seven?
True, but this doesn’t alter the fact Fed has lost more matches while holding MP’s than anyone. He did nothing wrong on those MPs, Paire saved them with great play.
Regardless of what Fed fans think, 2017 was a much better year game wise for Roger, off days or not.

I was thinking of RG '06 where they traded 6-1 sets to start.
He should've not played Wimbledon like Roger does with Rg, maybe Fed fans will be satisfied because he "didn't lose early".Remind us again when Rafa got to second week of Wimbledon? Was it 6 years ago or seven?
Federer has played RG more times than Rafa...He should've not played Wimbledon like Roger does with Rg, maybe Fed fans will be satisfied because he "didn't lose early".
Yes
It is
Though its an interesting fact that, there are very few bagels in their great rivalry
nadal has bageled fed once (2008 RG final), fed has bageled him thrice(2006 Wim final, 2007 Hamburg final, 2011 WTF RR)
And they have not bageled each other since 7 years almost
Because he is an old man and didn't miss a slam when he was younger because of injuries like Nadal.Federer has played RG more times than Rafa...
Sun disturbing Fedr
And the crowd won't block it for him like they did for RAFA
thrice (Wim 06, 2007 Hamburg, 2011 WTF RR)
that bagel by Nadal in RG 2008 is the only time fed's been bagelled in this century.
I think his AO form this year tends to get under-rated.
played pretty well vs Struff (who put up a good fight) and vs Gasquet
the bedene and fucsovics matches - he just did enough to win. the fucsovics match was boring though.
I thought he played excellent vs Berdych after going a break down in the first set.
was dismantling Chung in the semi before Chung retired.
final - was a good match, though not great. Only bad patch of play was from 3-2 up in the 4th set to 1-0 in the 5th set (Cilic was redlining as well)
Hope Federer's luck runs out at Wimbledon.
CorrectBecause he is an old man and didn't miss a slam when he was younger because of fake injuries like Nadal.
Ehm, most Fed fans do indeed think that so I have no clue what point are you making exactly.
@NatF :
In their AO 2018 match, Fed had 61 winners (in 3 sets!), forced 25 errors from Berdych and had 30 UEs (that's 86W+FEs to 30 UEs).
served at 63%, won 83% of his 1st serve points and 53% of his 2nd serve points.
AM in the match was 29.47% (Berdych's was 18.95%)
Statistics indicate an excellent performance from fed.
Fed would have more entries even if Nadal had entered in both 03 and 04.Because he is an old man and didn't miss a slam when he was younger because of injuries like Nadal.
Azunyan.Who feels like they could use a nice glass of water right now?

Thrice is what I said...
And the 2nd fact that you said, is insane if true
Rafa is almost 5 years younger than Roger.Fed would have more entries even if Nadal had entered in both 03 and 04.
Exactly.Rafa is almost 5 years younger than Roger.
