Shapo needs some net and volley skills
Agree but his return game could do some big damage... Net skill is lacking. What is Shapos weakest surface anyway? HC is his strongest surface that is certain.
Looking at shapos groundstrokes, I'd say grass is probably his weakest surface. I don't think he would be too comfortable with low bounce and a slicker surface where the game is faster. Seems like he doesn't use the net too often either.
No its bad mostlyIs Shapo missing too many shots at net? or I'm missing good ones and just seeing a few bad ones?

He's a junior WImbledon champ and had a tight three setter against Berdych last year. What is Shapos weakest surface anyway? HC is his strongest surface that is certain.

let's hope so...Serving for the match with new balls

Haven't the crowd been booing since the beginning of the match?Had to leave after the first set, why were people booing Shapovalov at the end?
Dissapointed that Kyle lost but I’ll be rooting for Denis against the evil Ziraffe!
Don’t jinx my jinx.Isner would could might stop him today?
A bit early to make a comparison for him especially since clay is earlier and has more tournaments.I think he is stronger on clay.
Don't get why Edmund is shaking his head and still seems upset about that incident. Play was called correctly since it was going to be an ace anyway. Edmund also won the set so not like it affected anything. Just seems kinda strange to me
Second thought, if Shapo stops him at semi, that would be much greaterDissapointed that Kyle lost but I’ll be rooting for Denis against the evil Ziraffe!

It's a lost art for some reason. I blame the French...That's how you close it out. Congrats
Yes was shaking his head at net in derision, it's not a very classy move from him.Turned the match off after the last point. Did Kyle continue with his bs?

Some idiot in the audience called "Come on Shapo" when he tossed the ball for serve. Kyle stopped thinking Umpire would stop play but Denis served and it was an ace. Umpire was right technically that he couldn't stop once the point was on but I think Kyle was expecting Shapo to re-do a serve which he probably should have but it was 30-30 so he didn't choose to be benevolent.
Seems silly, to ask for a let you never actually stopped play on.Don't get why Edmund is shaking his head and still seems upset about that incident. Ahem, second semi.Wow... Fed gets back to #1 and Denis makes his first Masters 1000 semi. A great day!

Going with Ed as he should be a tad more consistent, both have scorching forehands though.
If Kyle does well at Wimbledon what will Henman Hill/ Murray Mound be called, Kyle’s Kop maybe as he was born in SA?[/QUOTE
Well, this didn't age well, LOL.
Ahem, second semi.
I watched entire match and no one was booing.Had to leave after the first set, why were people booing Shapovalov at the end?
Never heard that at all.If Kyle had lost the second set I could have seen it as a big deal, but it didn’t change the outcome of the match. Shapo did great to hold it together after losing that set and the MP in the TB. As for the crowd booing, there are tons of British ex-pats in Spain.
