Novak will leave also Top 15 for the first time since 2007.And lets not forget he needs to defend final in Rome which I doubt he will so he will leave Top 20 soon

He is on the right track, trust me. He'll be a contender for everything again starting from Wimbledon. He played better today than the previous tournaments but Edmund played a VERY good match.

Idk about that. We will see. If he makes the 4th round or QFs at the french open it will be a success

This I agree with. He was out served but he kept his decent level from last match.

I thought Federer's 2013 was bad, then came Nadal's 2015, Djokovic's 2018 is clearly better than both of them though.

How do you beat Nishikori and lose to the #1 British player in the world? ;)

Kei had too much respect for Nole to beat him. He was the better player in the first set but Nole played the big points better.

Kyle doesn't have a history of getting beaten 10 times in a row like Kei, and could play with more confidence against Novak today.

Federer was injured in 2013, I have no idea what was wrong with Nadal in 2015, was it a mental issue? Djokovic is just declining, his defensive grinding style has took a toll on his body.

Don't know man. Don't know.

Today he wasn't going for his shots, like he did yesterday against Nishi. He tried to out rally Edmund, which worked most of the time. He rarely went for shots, and hardly ever made him run from side to side, like you would expect against a big man like Edmund.

In the end Edmund raised his level, especially on service, which Djokopvic had no answer to.

What might those be? Is he winning events? Is he even making the semis of any tournament? How about the QF's? Is he beating any player in the top 20?

Seriously...think about it.

He played better today than he has since at least the AO. His physical condition seems significantly better than earlier in the year when he seemed tired and listless. His mental engagement with the match was much better. If he's in good physical condition and mentally engaged he's too good a player for that not to translate into results.

Exactly. He met only once Top 10 ranked player this year.If you see most of his losses are not to strong player with exception of Thiem and Edmund. If Novak reaches Quarters at the French you could say he is at least partially back on track but for now not

Novak isn't gonna turn into a world beater by Wimbledon. This year will have more struggles and disappointments for him and his fans. What he is going through cannot be turned off or willed out of just like that. It's a slow process. He's gonna have to keep trying though if he is to return to the top again.

Yeah, I still think Djokovic will come back though, his problems are more mental than physical. Sure he's struggling physically right now, but only because he needs more match practice. This is all assuming he's as hungry for success as Fedal is though.

People need to stop looking for encouraging signs in places where they are non-existent.

It's ok to believe that your favorite player will rebound, but it will take some time. Novak will be back eventually, but his fans need patience.

They were hyped up after MC and Djokovic has still failed to string together consecutive wins ever since. In 4 of his 6 tournaments this year, Novak has failed to win consecutive matches.

Djokovic played better today I thought. A bit more improvement in Rome than again at Roland Garros and he's capable of being a force.

Maybe I am not too sure...He may come back - I think he will eventually but at the moment he is nowhere near what he used to be....

Federer 2013 was pretty average until September that year . Nadal 2015 was miserable until the clay season 2016. Novak, on the other hand, has been garbage for almost 18 months. I think its time he makes some technical changes on his forehand. Whenever he is under pressure he doesnt accelerate rather just stabs at the ball. I do think perhaps he should shorten his preparation on his forehand. His BH, movement and serve look pretty good just his FH is a liability.

Novak will have to come back from a lower ranking than Federer at the beginning of last year.

LOL! Ok, whatever you say. He won't be a contender for Wimbledon. Stop dreaming. Wimbledon is less than two months away! Federer will pummel his arse from here to Timbuktu but the problem is Djokovic can't even make it to Federer these days.

I thought he would beat Edmund but no, he can't even do that.

I think Wimb is still too early for him. He won't regain enough confidence to be a contender at Wimb.

Nobody goes from a 6-6 record to winning slams all of a sudden.

I was thinking about him being a bit better than before and on an upward trend. This was a good match from Kyle, tough to lose but somewhat acceptable from where Djokovic is coming from,he needs to take his time, Impatience is his greatest enemy presently.

It depends how long Djokovic is willing to endure bad loss after bad loss.

Exactly.Djokovic have negative record in the last 5 tournaments he played 3-5.So you tell me in 2 months he will be contender for Slam - I doubt it.

Well, he'll fall out of the top 20 if he pulls another stinker in Rome.

Ok so.....
Novak absolutely choked in last service game, he didn't even dropped a single point and then suddenly dropped serve...
Also wasted 3 b.ps in 2nd service game of edmund.. 0-40 was the chance.. it was the key moment.
