Sadly I am too weak to resist. If a guy plays consistently well I become a fan.

There's the age gap (who knows how Shapo will improve 2 years from now) but it's also just showcasing that consistency beats shotmaking in modern tennis. Zverev isn't as flashy as Shapo but he's efficient.

It's clay though so consistency will always by high priority.

Shapovalov just not good enough today. Was playing well for about 3-4 games then started to miss and Zverev took the opportunity.

What people also needs to pick up on is Zverevs defence and movement for his height. He is 1.98 and he can move very well and rally from the back of the court with pretty much anyone.

TTW is too often set in alternate reality.

The very reason people expect more from Zverev in slams is because he won Rome and Canada.
