2018 Men's NCAA Tournament

OSU lost the break they had in the 2nd set in #1 singles, and now serving at 4-5

#4 singles on verge of going to a 3rd set

edit: So much for that, #4 for Wake has come back and made it 5-5

I don't follow Wake or OSU but both clearly have some talent. Can someone tell me the true (not stacked) singles line up for each team. Not knowing any of the players its hard to know for sure but the line up looks stacked to me....but I'm not certain. There is no way that dude Mansouri from Wake is their 3rd best singles player. That guy looks ready for the tour.
Honestly, with the really good teams, there is very little difference between 1-6. It's not unusual to see a #5 or #6 player on these teams go straight to the tour and sometimes have moderate success.

Seibert for Ohio State is falling apart.

Wow! Easy put away volley at deuce and he chokes. Botzer now serving for the championship.

Great season. National Indoor Champs, ACC Regular Season Champs, ACC Tournament Champs, NCAA Champs. They’re losing 2 starters and a doubles specialist so we’ll see if they can maintain similar roster strength next season.

Weird, the stat page gave the match to Wake at 6-5, I got really confused and thought Seibert retired or something
The horrible program being used for the LiveStats gives the set to the first player to reach six games, even if the score is 6-5. Combine that with pathetic updating of the LiveStats link page by Wake Forest, and it was not a pretty picture for this tournament.

Umm...maybe blame it on that Wake was AT HOME! With 6 foreign older paid players. Ohio State players looked like young boys compared with the tattooed men of Wake Forest. The Mid west team was ridiculously impressive I have to admit. That is what college tennis is all about. Ty Tucker gets the Mid west homegrown players and of course has a few foreign players that add a great element to the team. But he does it the respectable way. Kudos to him and the boys of Ohio State.

None of the Wake Forest players had an ATP ranking as high as Blaz Rola's was before he joined Ohio State.

of course, Wake has an unfair advantage in experienced foreign players but it is very tough to win at home. Wake is 1st team to win at home as host since 2007 when Georgia did it.

Exactly, and they still couldn't win the championship. I know it is tough to win the NCAA team title. but at some point, when you have so many great players, you have to look at the coaching staff and ask that tough question.

Ask what question? Why did you recruit so well? Why are your players playing so well?

i was really surprised how much jj wolf struggled in winston-salem. i watched him play against minnesota and miss st. his forehand is way too erratic and he goes for more than he needs to.

chrysochos should be playing #1 for wake, but he really blew wolf off the court.

he looks like he is almost too good for college tennis already. what kind of Pro Career will he have ? and is he one of those players that is too small for Pro tennis and is at disadvantage ?

Some great matches going on in lower courts with really nice webcam. I just got this lower court cams working and it is state of the art compared to lousy top court cams. Kypson vs Tang great matchup

I am watching Kypson match right now. and you know that Hand Spitting incident before the handshake at net................. I don't think Kypson did that deliverately. because he is spitting on his hand time to time during the match especially after he wins a tough game or something like that. It might be just a habit. So you guys have been wrong about his bad behavior.

do you believe half the stuff you say? why do you constantly say ridiculous things just to get attention? just act normal. but i guess you need to make ludicrous posts to feel better about yourself. it says a lot.

It's really weird that Illinois, the #8 team in the country, doesn't have anyone competing in the Singles or Doubles tournaments.

Vukic was supposed to be in the singles draw and was a 9-16 seed, but he withdrew.

You mean like Noah Rubin? Top 100 right now if I remember correctly and should actually be a senior at Wake if I remember correctly. He's probably the best college player I've ever seen live. He absolutely had our #1 on a string a few years ago. The same year our guy advanced through the tournament far enough to be named an All-American.

here we go, tom and Axel. lets make it happen in doubles.

Wow,, OSU comes up short again.... Blame it on Ty Tucker,,,,,,, he's no Forood, that is for sure
Ty Tucker is easily one of the best collegiate tennis coaches in the country right now, I don’t think you posting from your parents basement is going to do anything about that.

OSU lost when they lost the doubles point, had they won it, the match would’ve been even more interesting.

You know, sometimes I feel bad when people pile on you after Stanford loses and I think you're just a harmless nut job, but then you post stuff like that....

After reading that post I just had to put him on ignore. I’ll miss his aviator pics, but nothing more.

LOL,,, Truth hurts sometimes..... but it is the truth. that is my observation and I am often right.
