New York is famous for their bagels - how appropriate. No bagels in the house, though - Nishikoris is on the board, Anderson serving at 5-1 for the set.Bagel in Brooklyn has a ring to it
Brooklyn Water Bagel Company had the same idea. Multiple locations in FL and CA. Maybe we can get @dgold44 out of cardboard boxes and into a real mensch pursuit, no???Bagel in Brooklyn has a ring to it
Maybe he was the genius behind the fedr box, no?Don't quite see him thinking outside the box

I am with you. I try to go to the quals where you get some quality tennis at affordable ticket prices. Usually concessions are through the roof at quals too though.Cheapest tickets for today are $30, but ridiculous Ticketmaster fees are another $14! Not to mention another $15 to park. With all the empty seats this week, they should be letting people in for free. Oh wait, forgot to mention $14.50 for a cup of beer!
Greedy pricing is the reason I stopped going to other sporting events, greed has ruined sports in America. The leagues are taking advantage of people who are addicted and just can't let go.
I smell bakery....
why does Querry choke on big time close tiebreakers ?? you would think with that big serve, he has the advantage in such situations.

Yup, Ando just won every match in this tournament, 7-6 in the third! Well, except for the match with Frances, and that was 6-4 in the third.Wow, Anderson was clutch in that final set tie-break! No doubt the New York crowd were disappointed for Sam but congrats to Kevin on winning the inaugural edition of the New York Open and his 4th ATP title!
Yep, Querrey let the tie break get away, but man, this match was one of the best ones I’ve seen in awhile!Unfortunately for him he was facing another big server but he certainly let it run away from him all too quickly. Never mind, onwards and upwards to defend his sombrero in Acapulco!
Yes. Rough start to this tournament, but a good finish.Wow, Anderson was clutch in that final set tie-break! No doubt the New York crowd were disappointed for Sam but congrats to Kevin on winning the inaugural edition of the New York Open and his 4th ATP title!
Maybe 1500 or so. Lower bowl was about 65% full. No seating in upper bowl.Main court was probably about 60% of the total arena floor space.Did they get a respectable crowd for the final?

Play 4 matches, 3 3rd set tiebreaks. Meh. At this point he's really just a placeholder in the top 15.Anderson seem to be on top his game the entire NYO matches! He need the win since his ranking has drop a lot in 2017!

True.At least he made a Slam final (which is more than can be said for Messrs Dimitrov, Zverev, Thiem, Goffin and Sock)!
True.
For me it's more of a sign of how crazy variation in Slams can get rather than merit of Anderson.
Agreed. Slams are crazy. NothiNg new there. Maybe an aberration at the UsOpen. Aus open used to often, almost always have a surprise finalist.True.
