The recent rise of Amazon Prime in tennis and elsewhere (The Expanse) is really annoying. I refuse to sign up to them, since they signed Jeremy Clarkson after he got fired from the BBC for assaulting somebody, and then plastered him all over the UK to advertise their service.

In US they just have Milan; UK seems to be the guinea pig for tennis coverage. A lot of people in US use Amazon for purchases so its pretty ubiquitous.
Don't know Clarkson at all...wiki:
"In March 2015, Clarkson was suspended by the BBC from Top Gear following a "fracas" with one of the show's producers.[21] It emerged that Clarkson had been involved in a dispute over catering while filming on location in Hawes, North Yorkshire.[135] Clarkson had been offered soup and a cold meat platter, instead of the steak he wanted, because the hotel chef had gone home.[136]"
"It was later announced through the BBC's website that the network would be likely to drop the remaining two episodes of the series as well in the wake of the incident, which involved Clarkson punching producer Oisin Tymon, who was later treated in hospital.[137][138] Tymon also claimed that Clarkson had called him a "lazy Irish cu-nt".[139]"
"However, Tymon has informed the police that he does not wish to press charges against Clarkson, and Clarkson urged fans of the show to stop trolling Tymon on social media, as what happened was not his fault.[151][152] British police have announced they are investigating death threats made against BBC Director-General Tony Hall over the issue.[153]"
"In November 2015, Tymon sued Clarkson and the BBC for racial discrimination over the verbal abuse he received in the March incident.[156][157] The following February, Clarkson formally apologised to Tymon and settled the racial discrimination and personal injury claim for £100,000.[139]"
Didn't know the Brits treasured steak so much.
I don't know if I'm a 100% on board. Some of the greats are very temperamental types and is the world really a better place when we remove some of these talents from our lives? Clarkson doesn't sound absolutely awful and at least he came to terms with Tymon. It used to be things were just kept hushed up and the world was not as invasive. Franklin Roosevelt probably would never had been president of the US if the media had not covered up that he was in a wheel chair. So many of these situations just with leaders. Most of these examples are dominant males. Is the world a better place castrating and ostracizing successful people? Seems like a recipe for mediocrity. What would the world of today have done to players like Nastase, Connors, and McEnroe? Kyrgios is checking himself into a psychological ward lol.
Technology is amazing as we have more and more cameras and we're heading towards a situation almost like the movie Minority Report where crime really won't pay. At the same time this will cause more and more situations where a successful person makes a mistake and bam society tears them down. Are we really better off? Will we crush the spark out of innovation and the cutting edge; see Elon Musk.
I'm amazed at how many Brits hate Amazon Prime. In the US they are beloved by the young and cord cutters saving money on cable tv which would include me.
