Nadal leads 3-0 and is yet to drop a set to Karen who's obviously looking for his first Masters 1000 final.

Can Karen do some damage this time around or will Rafa roll into another final?

They have the night slot, starts not before 8:00 pm, local time.

Khachanov has been very efficient this week by winning in straight sets each match with only one break yielded and firing 42 aces in his four matches. His toughest match was the TB sweep of Isner, the only match he failed to break once. Against Krajinovic, Busta and Haase he rang up nine breaks. This is easily his best run since his first title run at Chengdu'16.

That being said, he will have to step it up and play the match of his life tonight to win. His service is key and he will need those aces and to keep Nadal neutralized with putaways of anything short. Cilic fell apart last night because he couldn't get the cheap points (6-2 first set despite 0 aces) with only 5 aces the entire match.

Nadal in 3 unless Khachanov plays A plus.

kachanov playing A+, then :)

I have this feeling that Khachanov is a bit curious cause he's a ball basher but ultimately lacks power to hurt top opponents, while bashing balls with a decent degree of consistency is his main quality.

Nadal looks very determined here. For me, that is a sign that no one is getting anything for free. Khachanov just doesn't have the consistency to beat Nadal in this mood. I could be surprised, but I think the Bull steamrolls him in two and is into the final.

I have seen Karen in live two times and I can guarantee you that he does not lack power at all. His shots are brutal. That's his main quality.

But I think Nadal will handle this fine and destroy his backhand. I would say Nadal in 2, 7/5 6/3 maybe.

Karen always goes full throttle on his groundies. No holds barred! No slice and can’t volley. All his opponents need to do is slice low and and he’ll commit errors left and right. Someone like Santoro would absolutely thrash him lol.

I can’t imagine any other outcome other than Nadal destroying this poor kid.

no they won't play two matches tomorrow he'll stay as late as they need to the finish this one but I'm telling you they won't start till around 10: 30

I think BG is flunking meteorology...still showers around...red card on me for trusting him, sorry folks :(
