I got a feeling this will be like their previous Wimbledon match. A thriller. Big serve and power against gumby grinder.

I'll be rooting for Novak too. And I don't think Anderson has a shot either way. His shoulder will be completely done, surely? He's not going to be able to serve.

I'll say Djokovic in four, it's going to be fun to watch how Djokovic manages his forehand return which has been a bit of a liability at times. Completely different look for Novak, after Rafa's lefty jamming serve down the Tee/into the body. I think Novak will handle it better, sure Kevin will get many free points, but a few more meaningful returns are on the cards IMO.

It should be easier on djokovic in the rallies. That will help him. Return games are going to be difficult. Hopefully he can break anderson once or twice a set.

Djokovic in 4.

Kandyman will win a set then Novak will realise he’s facing a @MugOpponent then proceed to use Kevin as his whipping boy for 3 sets.

Score:
5-7 6-3 6-4 6-3 Djokovic

I've seen him referred to as Kandyman several times today. What's that about?
Everyone else has explained it but here's my origin (whether somebody else preceded me elsewhere I'm not sure):

In SDL and PPL leagues, I try to infuse some humor in my picks. Four or five years ago he was almost a good luck charm for me if I picked him early (and often in PPL) so I took the K and the Andy then added the man to honor the old Sammy Davis Jr. song.

I don't know what woulx be crazier Anderson winning Wimbledon or Croatia(my country) winning World Cup?

But when you think both finals have some similarities. Anderson/Croatia where always here, dangerous. No player or team could say 'this one will be easy win'. Both defeat greatest Federer/Messi in route to final. However, on the other side we have revenants who were once best in world. Djokovic 2011-2015 and France 1998-2000(era with Zidane). Also both Djokovic/France knock out currently best World player Nadal/Messi with Argentina.

My pick is Djokovic and of course Viva La Croatia - WC 2018 Champions!!

I think Anderson will win now that Djokovic had to go additional games today with Rafa while his opponent has the day off! Anderson beat RF so Djokovic should be easier I think for Anderson to play on grass; with his serve and powerful ground strokes!

Bodo on Anderson:

The No. 8 seed had the day off Saturday, but he's played over 15 hours of tennis in his past three rounds. He came into the tournament dealing with a chronic hamstring injury, for which he's been wearing compression shorts. He wasn't even sure how to approach his recovery from the semifinal, having never been involved in so long a match.

"I think we're going to play it by ear, see how I feel, see how my body reacts in the morning," Anderson said Friday night. "My feet are sore, they're swollen. The legs are pretty jelly-like. Ideally I'd like to get out and hit for maybe 30 minutes, just to keep the eye in. I want to try to keep the same sort of routines that we've been having."

This is supposed to be 2011 redux. But the final is yet to be played. So I am confuse.

Another one:

2011: Djokovic defeated Tomic in 4 sets in the quarterfinals

2018: Djokovic defeated Nishikori in 4 sets in the quarterfinals

And on the women's side, a left handed player won the final in straight sets (Kvitova 2011 and Kerber 2018) :D

I first thought it was a given the winner of Nadal/Djokovic will be the Wimbledon champion, but now that it's Djokovic, I'm not so sure. I actually think an upset is possible. Anderson will be nervous, but it'll be Nole's first slam final in 2 years, his 3rd continuous day of play, it's been awhile since he's been such the huge favorite in a final, and he's had no time to regroup after his huge SF win over Nadal.

I don't think Anderson will be tired as in chasing the ball. I think his issue may be he hit so many serves Friday his arm and shoulder could be an issue. It should be clear very early watching him serve. It is like a baseball pitcher coming back on short rest. The adrenaline will cover up the issue for most of the first set but once he settles in it will be apparent whether he is good to go. If he is good to go Novak will have his hands full.
