In 2015 i started the "Yonex ezone DR Club", Love the Ezone line from its lime color to the blue, from its bigger head size to the lighter version, from its standard length to its extended length.

From reviews, to feedbacks. The new line of 2018 ezones wether it's green, blue, standard, extended, lighter, heavier, bigger. It just doesn't beat the DR line of frames.

This club is to support the new line, also give your fellow members feedback on what works for you ( could work for them as well). don't be afraid to go into detail (pic, video, words all are helpful) :D , i'm gonna try it out tomorrow. just got mine and ready to try it out.

Loving the black single bag. miss the dampener along with it tho.

I converted to the ezone 98s coming from the pure strike P17. Definitely feels like a better racquet but something still feels missing. Played around with string combos but seem to like full be of cyclone at 51lbs the best.

Really i thought the DR, was still missing some stuff in the frame lol. i was hoping since this one is a little stiffer in the head. i'm hoping i like it more.
cyclone at 50lbs for me as well lol.

You're probably going to like it. If the DR was a little too muted or had too much flex, this one is going to be up your alley. With Cyclone at 50, you should be good.

As a 17 years old "dirt rat" from Spain, I ABSOLUTELY love the new Ezone 100. I string it with Tour Bite at 51 pounds (23 kg) and it just fits my game the way any other racquet did before (demoed like 9 racquets or so). I used to use the GrapheneXT Speed MP and I kinda liked it, but the Yonex is a bit more powerful and has SLIGHTLY less control, but this is compensated with the huge amount of top spin I can generate with it. Now I'm able to play at a higher rythm and more consistenly and with more depth I can also hit flat winners at certain moments (specially with my OHB), but I'd definitely recommend this racquet to someone looking for a very versatile frame with a lot of spin potential rather than someone who hits flat.

Yeah I like it better than the DR. Feel I get more spin and it is a bit stiffer. I feel a little bit of extra weight might help but the probably is more than likely me rather then the racquet.

I actually have three sets of it to test out, and I plan on getting them restrung tomorrow. Read my mind!

How are you liking your EZONE?
i'm actually enjoying it. the tension of 50 on a volkl . cyclone works fine for me.

Just figuring out my customization on it.

See, I had a hit with mine today at 54lbs with Cyclone. I’m sure it’s gone down but it’s still sounds higher than 4lbs compared to my VCORE Pro 330 at 50lbs. I’m going to test out Hyper G at 52 and see how it works.

I was hitting with some heavy pace today and was able to counter my hitting partner’s pace with authority. It’s been a nice change since replacing leather with synthetic. It’s definitely helped create a softer feel at impact, and it’s been easier on my arm that’s for sure!

I am a recent user of the ezone 98 strung with MSV Hex 16 @ 55, leather TW grip. For the longest time I played with 18/20 Dunlop aero 95 and then Head Prestige MP.

When I switched I noticed how it has that player frame quality and gave me controllable power on certain jammed cross court shots that I was previously lacking.

I recently added 6 inch lead at 12, as I found I needed a little extra weight.

I am very pleased how this racquet plays at the net, especially in doubles. As others have stated the serve shines in all forms.

@shaneno,

How has it been treating you?

I just put Hyper G in... hate/love relationship. Right off the stringer at 52lbs, I did NOT like this string at all. Waited two days to hit again and they were much better once they set in after they had a little time to break in. I had Cyclone at 54lbs, but I think if I went a little lower, it would have felt much better. I feel like Cyclone is a string that plays better as time goes on but doesn't feel as dead as Hyper G does right off the stringing machine. I do have a lot of control with Hyper G, though! I can really rip into the ball with this setup, although I think I'll go 50lbs next time.

Switched from Ezone DR 98 to an Ezone 98 this past summer. I always felt like the DR was a bit unstable in that it was "too floppy" on off-center hits and that it was a bit underpowered, so the Ezone 98 was amazing for me. I use Babolat RPM at 51 lbs and the only real downside to the racquet is a potential lack of feel, but for the most part it is an awesome all-round racquet without any real weaknesses.

I broke strings during a match and had to go back to the DR for a bit. That switch really highlighted the instability of the DR 98. I never fully liked to the new EZONE 98, but when I had that switch over for a bit, I realized why I originally made the switch over to the new tech.

It's stiffer than the dr98. I have both racquets, and the dr is more comfortable but the ezone feels better all around shot wise.
Now using one ezone 98+ and one dr 98+. I agree with this. DR is definitely more comfortable, and my shots are more consistent. Ezone is close on consistency, but for we adds pace to my groundstrokes and serves.

How is the comfort of the new Ezone 98 compared to the DR98?
I concur with the two other posters. Yes, you lose some plushness (if you string exactly the same as you would with the DR), but you gain pace, stability on your shots. I've found super soft polys to help whereas I didn't need it with the DR version.
