The first scheduled SF match up of the day, not before 6:00 pm, local time. First meeting between the players.

Norrie looking to reach his second final of his career, having lost to Sandgren in the ASB Classic final earlier in the year.

Zverev seems to be in imperious form once again in a best of three event, closing in on his 16th career final (10-5).

Can't see Norrie putting up too much resistance, even if he's quite a tenacious competitor on court. What do you guys think?

Some hope for Norrie is that he loves the cross-court backhand and takes it quite early, a pattern of play that can trouble Zverev if he isn't on song off the forehand wing.

Zverev consolidates for 2-0, holds from 15-30 down, a couple of bombs out wide on both sides at 30-30.

A little erratic from Norrie here, seems to be trying to add a little more extra pace on his average ground stroke, almost rushing in these points, but he's taking plenty of time away from Zverev. Faces BP but save it well.

Norrie is playing quite well, employing the forehand/body serve sporadically with some good success on the ad side, jamming the big man.

Zverev misses the tweener, I'm shocked. A very convincing love hold for 3-4.

Same my man. A part of me wouldn't mind if Norrie won so that Kyrgios would have an easier time in the final if he makes it. I want him to take it home with the way the crowd has been against him.

Don't get your hopes up too much, we don't know how motivated Kyrgios will be against Lord Servebot. Hopefully a final against Zverev gives him motivation.
