I couldn’t bear to watch the USO ceremony. Naomi is so honest and cute in this one. Very reserved I her emotions. Congratulations a new superstar!

She'll have more to say in time during such moments. She's already surpassed Magnus Carlsen in being less awkward (I hope a few people will at least get what I'm saying here heh).
yeah, it's surprising how comfortable he is otherwise but speeches and interviews he's just awkward.

Could Osaka be the one who breaks Margaret Court’s record?
25 is difficult.

She has the game. Let's hope she has the drive (very important! :) ).

I'll be super happy if she wins 10. Any more and it's all gravy.

The big plus? She plays best on the grandest of stages. And she wins BIG! (IW18 (wins 7 matches), USO18, AO19... wat!!??)

Who knows... They were sure Seles would have dozens of slams and look what had happened. Life is unpredictable. There is a next generation coming too. Anisimova, Yastremska et al will progress and who knows what they will become. But it will be great if she'll win 20+ slams.

Come on. This assumes there's not strong players on tour who can beat anyone else. The WTA is very strong as it has been for a long time, so only the most rare of players will break through all of the wars to reach or pass the great Court's record.

I'd throw Andreescu into that mix.

Maybe, maybe not. We finally have a new dominant player.
Osaka wasn't exactly dominating Petra in this match. She still shows some vulnerability here and there. Brisbane match was no good. Hsieh almost beat her too.

But Osaka just showed real determination when it comes to crunch time in the last set of this final.

Yeah, that's a tall order. And I agree, I think the days of a few dominant players are probably coming to an end (on the men's side too, as soon as the old guys retire). But, it's sport so ya never know.

I feel like we over-estimate wh

I'd throw Andreescu into that mix.
Her too, Potapova and Jakupovic and so on and so on. Tennis, fitness and sport psychology evolve too. New players will be much better and more dangerous. It's quite exciting.

Osaka reminds me so much of one of my relatives who is half Japanese. He's so very shy and always speaks very very softly you can hardly hear him.

Magnus standing at some ceremony in a confetti shower with flowers thinking '**** this' and bailing was almost too funny.
