There it is! Kind of a nightmare of a match for Felix but he survives it and is in to the semifinals, likely to face countryman Raonic!

Felix had 30 aces lol
Besides the 3rd set, where Felix's serve started to falter a bit, his service games were laughable. ZERO resistance. Brown may have given Felix a get out of jail free card when serving up 5-4 in the 3rd but that's only because Felix himself gave him one earlier when he came unglued a bit. He wrapped it up nicely in the end though. A good learning experience for the kid.

Brown should of taking more time to think about closing out the match! He was too casual and it cost him - the match, doubled the price money and ranking points! It would have moved him up 37 spots up the ladder from his current 170 ranking instead of move up 17 spots! Also, gave Dustin a further his chance to earning even more in the semis too. If he won the semis, he be around inside the 100 ranking! Shame, Dustin let a golden opportunity get away!

My gut feeling is that Raonic is going to win the Mercedes Cup but who knows? All four semi-finalists are playing really well :)

I am surprised by how many of you like Felix Auger-Alliasime - I don't find him all that interesting, IDK why, just doesn't excite me. Perhaps in time I will like him, it took me a while before I warmed up to Sasha Zverev.

Valid question.

I can see that some people might find him 'boring', but I find him incredibly athletic, with amazing foot work. He is mature beyond his age. I believe that he will add the nuances to his game over the next few years. Right now though, he is dealing with his newly found athletic strength. He's testing it out.

I can't wait to see what the future holds. I just hope it doesn't hold injuries, due to his aggressiveness!

I'm going with Berrettini to take it all - it's great to see supposed clay courters like himself and Garin show some promise after the clay season. They certainly racked up a load of Ws the past few months which should really give them confidence.

Injuries and aggression have nothing to do with each other.

To me he is very exciting to watch but people have different tastes of course . I for one do not find pure shotmakers who rely less on point construction e.g shapovalov, that interesting to watch.Felix constructs points well even at 18.
