Given what I've seen thus far, Djoker in straights. Fed will have to slice and dice like an absolute crazy person, since even a redlining Thiem found a sliding rubbery nuisance of a wall on the end of his cannons a lot of the time. Fed ain't hitting through that.

But he'll have to find some better form than he has had in his first two matches. If he plays like that, it'll be Novak in straight sets.

Novak doesn't care about Slams, Masters or WTF anymore, he only cares about beating Fedr.

If Nadal wants the YE#1 then he still has a chance to fight for it himself. But if he loses to Med today (which is what probably will happen) then nothing will depend on him anymore.

50/50 IMO. Nadal looked really bad vs Zverev but on the other hand Medvedev looks gazed, possibly tired after an incredible summer/fall Hardcourt season.

I think Nadal wins in 3 sets but I could be dead wrong with the abdomen injury.

Nadal said there is no injury. He is just in very bad form. Unfortunately I don't see him beating Med. Still have to hope for something. This is Nadal's last chance to fight for the YE#1. (I accepted long time ago that he will not get it, but it doesn't mean he shouldn't fight until the end). If he loses then nothing will depend on him.

In that case both Nadal and Djokovic would have 2 slams and 2 masters this year, so can't say it would be undeserved. However, I would like Nadal to keep fighting himself. Well, I will not be able to watch today's match anyway. And after watching Nadal's level against Zverev maybe that's even better. I don't have any expectations.

50/50 based on what? i mean i wouldn't say fed has no chance ofcourse but nothing i've seen over the last two matches indicates fed is in any shape or form to beat novak, even a subpar novak. i will say i suppose atleast with bo3 the agony wont drag on for hours.

as a fed fan, this is the preferable scenario for me. atleast this way no one is surpassing anyone, it just means if im not mistaken they are all at the same number of YE1. and then ofcourse fed's wtf is also safe, I think
