I like that description of Nadal. The GOAT (when healthy)

I'm using it because I'm extremely irritated to have to make match threads for the Vamos Brigands. If this match gets close its going to get 1000 posts just like Thiem v Djokovic. It was just ridiculous that I had to do the Medvedev thread as well. Its a rematch of the US Open Final. Djokovic fans at least sometimes will fight to put up thread.

I voted for Nadal in straights.

Is it too optimistic of me? I just don't think Tsitsi is such a great rival...

Am I wrong?
I think the problem for Nadal indoors is bounce height. Normally this is a great weapon for him, but not indoors. Pretty amazing Medvedev failed to put him away from match point 5-1 up in the 3rd set.:sneaky:

Tsitsipas kept upping his game in Milan last year so I think he's ready to put up a fight. Somehow I don't think he'll care about the ramifications (i.e. he should tank this without a doubt or try to blow Nadal off court and finish quickly.)

Zverev crushed Nadal with his serve and flat out incredible aggression from the ground with his forehand just going wild over Nadal. I've got a feeling Tsitsipas will have the balls in his strike zone quite nicely as well and he's been tatooing backhands down the line lately (won him match over Djoko in Shanghai). Add to this that Nadal's return game gets exposed on the fastest surfaces and I think Tsitsipas will break more than he is broken in this one.

Given Nadal has won one indoor event in his career; Tsitsipas is the clear favorite for this match.;)

Rafa should win this one a single handed backhand after 2 of the toughest double handed backhands will be a pleasant welcome for sure.

But, but... player who beat Nadal was beaten by player Nadal faces today 8-B

Stef > Zed > Ned > Med

Jokes aside; Rafa seems to be Rusty Bull, with Golden glimmers atm.

Nadal might win, if anything because he has no more pressure to try for the YE #1, so he can play more relaxed.

Probably won't matter in the end because I don't see Medvedev beating Zverev if he knows he is already out of the tourney, but who knows...

Maybe Medvedev doesn't want to go 0-3 in his group which not even Berrettini managed.

And plus, he needs to end this season on a good note. It's never good for your confidence to end your season on a 4 match losing streak.

Tsitsipas was hardly missing anything against Zverev. If Nadal continues playing bad then Tsitsipas will destroy him. Anyway, it's not like Nadal has any chance to win this tournament. Even if he somehow reaches the semifinal Federer is going to destroy him. He has the YE#1, that's the most important thing.

Can you ever be optimistic for Rafa?
You talk of him like he's the Fernando Verdasco of all people...

Tsitsipas is so arrogant. Funnily, not in a way young Federer was (and we know Fedrrer is Sisi’s eyedoll).

I watched some 2005 Federer highlights yesterday and he was arrogant in a way Kyrgios is, LOL.
