That was yesterday's news and from another thread. Why bring it in here? Well since you did, don't compare the behavior of the crowd in this match to these fools from yesterday. They have not been disrespectful to Tsists just because they are cheering for Nadal more.
What happened in yesterday's Fedovic match? I didn't watch it yesterday.
Anything extraordinary that the Fed fans did that disrespected Nole?

@NoleFam I told you Zverev is Nadal's biggest threat in this group. I also told you Thiem has the game to trouble Djokovic on hardcourt if he plays well. I was right on everything, and you didn't believe me.
Nadal has lifted his game tremendously since that Zverev match. If he had played that level against Tsists and Med, he would have been roasted even worse. Let's also not pretend Med didn't choke a 5-1 lead the other day. I never said Thiem didn't have the game to trouble Novak on hardcourt, and that was a Novak clearly not playing his best and still almost won.

You missed my point entirely.
It's the same London crowd!

They are humans.
They have favorites.

Yesterday they favored Federer.
Today they favored Nadal.

Understand now?
Fedal don't have the same fans and I doubt it's the exact crowd. Point is, it was yesterday and you need to move on. I can't help that Federer fans act like fools at professional tennis matches for everyone to see.

One Djokovic fan on here claims that the Fed fans were cheering loudly every time Novak double faulted. He or she seemed to take particular exception to that and dubbed them as, "low life trash."

Medvedev did choke (I didn't watch the match though), but the match was already much closer than against Zverev. I just said I think Nadal's game hurts Med and Tsitsipas more than it hurts Zverev on hardcourt. And it really how it was...

Personally, I don't really like cheering of double faults too. Not very classy to cheer for an opponent's mistake, just my take on it.

For once I agree with you..... I would want Rafa to make it to sf but yeah I would agree it won't be easy against Fed
Not to mention Nadal won't have much left in the tank anyway. He ran 4 miles today in a rollercoaster, but also had a super tough one against Medvedev.

That being said, I'm sure Zvervev will beat Medvedev as the Russian has no incentive to win given that he cannot qualify for the SF.

I mean it's the same thing as cheering for unforced errors, no? In fact, you could make the argument that a double fault is essentially an unforced error.

Neither did Matteo yesterday, but look at how that turned out. ;)

Nadal would have to outsmart Fed inorder to win ... Federers anticipation against Djoker was too good

Fed's level varies significantly from match to match these days. Just because he served and played fabulously against Djokovic, doesn't mean he brings that form into his next match. The surface certainly favors Roger over Nadal though. Sure hope the match happens, but Zverev has to lose. :X3:
This is the one department that Zverev has been excelling consistently at. Hoping he will deliver the goods.

It would take a peak, 100% fresh Nadal to challenge Federer given the way the Swiss is playing on a surface that favors the Swiss much much more.
How do you beat Fed when he serves like the way he did against Novak?
Indoors never works for Nadal and on this court his forehand doesn't do much at all.

Lol, these Next Gen players just don't have a clue how to compete against a not even great version of Nadal. Absolutely pathetic.
Didn't Zverev beat Nadal in the same RR just the day before? And this was a very close match and had the elements to go either way.

I'm using it because I'm extremely irritated to have to make match threads for the Vamos Brigands. If this match gets close its going to get 1000 posts just like Thiem v Djokovic. It was just ridiculous that I had to do the Medvedev thread as well. Its a rematch of the US Open Final. Djokovic fans at least sometimes will fight to put up thread.
I could have done it. But I'm a lazy as* these days. Thanks for the thread tho'

Did they loudly cheer Tsits' double faults and stuff like that today though...
Djokovic yesterday in his presser when asked about the crowd:

"I mean, look, it was an important match, and I think every time I face Roger or Rafa anywhere in the world, it's a lot of excitement. So it was a full stadium, which was nice to see. It was loud. It was electric. You know, it was a good atmosphere."

I can't imagine even the most rabid Nadal fan arguing this. Novak has arguably the greatest ROS ever (I put Agassi ahead, some others will put Jimbo ahead). Murray at his peak also had a far greater ROS than Nadal, or anyone else aside from Novak.
Djokovic and Murray are in a different stratosphere for ROS when compared to Nadal's ROS. Federer's ROS is also much better than Nadal's.
In fact there are other top 10 players whose ROS is greater than Nadal's too. ROS is the weakest part of Nadal's game by a long shot.

Djokovic hardly ever spoke negatively about the atmosphere himself though, to my recollection at least. Doesn't change the fact the occasional annoying disruptions happen.

Congratulations to Nadal on coming back again from a set down. Now it's down to Zverev / Medvedev.

Somehow I don't think Med is the type to put extra effort into his match when there isn't much on the line for him. For Zverev on the other hand this match is huge. So things might but be looking too great for Rafa ... We'll see!

200 points are nothing to sniff at. It could make the difference between a 4th and 5th seed in an upcoming grand slam next year, you never know. On top of that, Medvedev has nothing to lose while Zverev has a lot to lose, therefore Medvedev could potentially play more freely than Zverev.

Djokovic is a gentleman so he would never go into a press conference after he lost and stoop to their level. Make no mistake though, he was absolutely livid yesterday. I think the only reason he doesn't let those obnoxious dumb@zzez have it is out of respect for Federer. The only time I've ever seen him lose his cool while playing was to that fool in the 2015 Wimbledon final.

Djokovic played so damm well in the Wimbeldon 2015 final though regardless. Nearly every return was at Rogers feet. The crowd was a lot better than USO 2015 one in the same year.
