Gotta feeling Sneakipas holds on and pulls this out in three sets. Zverev's level was off the chart versus Nadal so should be interesting to say the least.:p

Another hard match to call. I've gone with Zverev in 3; being back on this court seems to have reignited something in him. But wouldn't be surprised at either result tbh.

I still have no idea who should make it out of this group. Medvedev had such great results in the second half of the year, it would be silly to rule him out. Obviously you count Rafa out at your peril. But Tsitsi and Street really shone on Monday. If they can bring the same form again, this should be a cracking match - and the winner will be in pole position.

This really is shaping up to be the best WTF in a while - assuming the younger guys can keep up their good form!

Go Zverev!

Him winning has the added advantage of turning Nadal - Tsitsipas into a KO match, otherwise we may see the dreaded triple 2-1 by the end of RR (by far my least favorite feature of WTF, ties in the RR stage)

I picked Z to win this. But after watching the Med- Nad match, Stef would be in a great mood. It could be closer than I initially thought

Tsitsipas has figured out Zverev but the latter loves these court conditions.
Should be a close one

I think Stefanos will win in 3 something like 7-6 3-6 7-5

Exactly. That's something I really hate in WTF. Nadal is in a very bad position right now, so he needs Zverev to beat Tsitsipas in order to hope for something.

Rafa fans everywhere become Zverev fans for the night. If Rafa has to play a lame duck Tsitsipas on friday and gets to avoid Novak in the semis I'd imagine he'd be a pretty happy bunny, no matter what state he's in.

Also just generally interesting to see if Zverev can get anywhere close to where he was against Nadal.

Out of interest what would need to happen in the next couple of days for Djokovic and Nadal to meet in the semifinals?

Prety quick start from both players, Stefanos holding comfortably for 2-1, already a handful of serve/forehand combinations.

Sad, but I have a feeling Tsitsipas is winning this match. Really, the only way for Nadal to remain at the top spot is if Federer beats Djokovic. (which is very, very unlikely)

Dislike both these guys and have never rooted fpr Tsitsipas, but will have to today. Will not root for Zverev.

Tsitsipas is so annoying. He was playing like hot garbage against Djokovic in Paris, making back to back double faults and missing every second forehand. But now he is actually trying and hardly making any errors.

Tsitsipas was my dark horse to win at the beginning of the tournament. I think either he or Thiem will be lifting the trophy on Sunday.

Stefanos playing well, although there is a concerning lack of 1st serves in these opening three service games. Pushed to deuce here...

Thanks. What would need to happen for him to not even get through to the semis?
For them to meet in the semis Novak would have to beat Roger, and Rafa would have to beat Stefanos, and Stefanos would have to beat Zverev.

For Rafa not to make it out of the group he would have to lose to Stefanos on Friday. Pretty simple :D Unless I guess Zverev beats Tsitsipas now and then somehow manages to lose to Deadvedev. Not sure what would happen then.

It's annoying how terrible he played against Djokovic in Paris. It was beyond pathetic. But now he is suddenly on fire. (until his next match against Djokovic I guess)

Big difference in the quality of the short/weaker ball on the forehand wing, a lot more time for Stefanos to get in position to counter attack.

If Tsitsipas plays like he does now, current Nadal is not beating him.

It's showing Stefanos in some obvious discomfort in an earlier practice session. No problems so far. Some of these running forehands do look a little suspect, but we'll put it up to Zverev's ball striking
