Novak's genuinely tanking now. Left the court wide open on point 1 (but RBA missed). Hit it right back at RBA for point 2, even with the court open.
not my words
the commentators on my stream were giving several valid reasons why RBA is winning and more than half of those reasons were physical ailment, sickness and some kind of "mysterious malaise"
That's what I'm saying. Remember what happened last year before Wimbledon, Novak had said he wouldn't even play on grass. He didn't even look super hot before the UsOpen. He won both.
I think the only person who can beat Novak at the French is Nadal. Those people who say that Thiem will beat Novak are wishful thinkers.
Meanwhile Rafa is resting for the clay season like.....

Yeah, tanking when he is 2-5 down, but not at the beginning of the set, when Bautista had to work hard for the breaks. Djokovic did not tank the whole match. Bautista has already beaten Djokovic in other matches (Doha 2019, Shanghai 2016), so this loss is not that surprising.Novak's genuinely tanking now. He had lost three consecutive (bo3) tournaments before AO and after losing in IW I'm not surprised him losing to RBA
Sorry, I wasn't trying to imply otherwise. I literally meant "now," as in since that 2nd break.Yeah, tanking when he is 2-5 down, but not at the beginning of the set, when Bautista had to work hard for the breaks. mate, he got bageled last time they played there
Not only that, he looked dominant in London before the final. And that was against the best field on tour.Yea he lost in the finals of Paris and WTF, not lost in the 3rd and 4th rounds. There is a difference.
Yes but both were lacklustre performances. Paris was excusable given his draw but he laid an egg in the YECf finalYea he lost in the finals of Paris and WTF, not lost in the 3rd and 4th rounds. There is a difference.

RBA wins after getting breadsticked in the opener

Yep, RBA comes back again.
Not sure what is weirder, him winning 3 of his last 5 meetings with Djoko or Thiemeles beating Fred on all surfaces
Yea London was a shock considering the way he played before the final. Now he just looks listless and disinterested. He also looks a bit smaller than he did in Australia. He needs to get his head back in the game.

Djokovic played way below his standard level but man RBA just knows how to play him.
The draw is completely open now given how Federer is far from his best himself.
