Yeah, tanking when he is 2-5 down, but not at the beginning of the set, when Bautista had to work hard for the breaks. Djokovic did not tank the whole match. Bautista has already beaten Djokovic in other matches (Doha 2019, Shanghai 2016), so this loss is not that surprising.

I bet Novak is relieved to be able to get some rest and then go strong on clay. This might be the key to his performance on the dirt and maybe winning 2nd French Open crown.

Going deep in Miami with long matches would have made Novak more tired and reduced his chances.
