Welcome to the 2019 Davis Cup Finals event
Davis Cup Finals
18 - 24 November, 2019
Madrid, Spain
Indoor Hard Court
This is a trial event that takes into account the new format of the Davis Cup. Points quoted below are not finalised and may be subject to further refinement.
RULES (Davis Cup):
Initial suggestion is to structure picks according to the following schedule:
1. For the Round Robin stage of the tournament, make 1 pick per Round Robin Tie
2. Note that Groups B, D and F get underway on 18 November whilst Groups A, C and E only get underway on 19 November.
In effect this means that you would need to make 1 pick from any of the following matches from the 1st tie in each group:
Pick #1 - any 1 of the following:
A - France vs. Japan (Tuesday)
B - Croatia vs. Russia (Monday)
C - Argentina vs. Chile (Tuesday)
D - Belgium vs. Colombia (Monday)
E - Kazakhstan vs. Netherlands (Tuesday)
F - Italy vs. Canada (Monday)
Pick #2 - any 1 of the following:
A - Serbia vs. Japan (Wednesday)
B - Spain vs. Russia (Tuesday)
C - Argentina vs. Germany (Wednesday)
D - Australia vs. Colombia (Tuesday)
E - Great Britain vs. Netherlands (Wednesday)
F - USA vs. Canada (Tuesday)
Pick #3 - any 1 of the following:
A - France vs. Serbia (Thursday)
B - Spain vs. Croatia (Wednesday)
C - Chile vs. Germany (Thursday)
D - Belgium vs. Australia (Wednesday)
E - Great Britain vs. Kazakhstan (Thursday)
F - USA vs. Italy (Wednesday)
Pick 4 - Quarter-Finals - PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THE SCHEDULE AS SOME OF THE QUARTER-FINALS START ON THURSDAY 21 NOVEMBER
Pick 5 - Semi-Finals
Pick 6 - Final (i.e. 1 pick per Round from the QFs onwards)
3. Please note that you MUST make your pick before the first match of your chosen tie starts. You can make a back-up pick though it is unlikely that an entire team would withdraw from a tie.
4. Start with Pick #1. If your team wins, you are through to Pick #2, etc. If they lose, you are knocked out.
5. You cannot repeat a pick that you used before, so it is important to make smart choices to advance further in the tournament.

3 correct picks - 250
