2019 ATP Sudden Death League: Dubai

You're late. Before R16 you needed to make a pick for round 1, which ended yesterday.

"6. Since you can no longer win a match by a walkover it is highly advised that you make a back-up pick to your main pick - when listing your picks make sure you specify which is your back-up."
So does this mean I can only pick finalist winner ? since you can only pick 2 rounds ahead ?? That wasnt' in the rules. I am very confused. and does Backup pick have to be for same round or round after ? Why did they make the rules So Confusing ?

Actually every new player that we had in the last year or so, understood the rules without a single doubt.

This 500 tournament has a R1, a R2, QF, SF and a final. So you have to make a pick for R1, if you win then make a pick for R2, if you win then make a pick for QF, if you win then make a pick for SF and if you win then make a pick for the final.

R1 in this tournament was between Monday and Tuesday and you didn't pick a player for that round.

Backup is for the same round, always.

So you are saying if I dont' start from round 1 (now too late),, I can't participate ??

Correct.

You pick one player per round (or day, depending on the tournament). You also have the choice of listing backups (BU) in case the match you chose ends up as a walkover or one opponent is replaced by a LL.

Once a pick is used, it cannot be used again (hence why you can't just pick Nadal every round in RG). However, backups can be used again if they were not needed.

It really can't be more clear than what it says in the first page.

So that only simpleton types such as myself know how to play.

Always the same bullsh*t with Boric. Everytime I pick him, he loses, no matter if his rival is ranked outsided the top 100. And now that I pick his opponent, he decides to win 7-6 in the third. Last year picked him in this same tournament, same round, and he lost in straight sets. Picked him in the AO last month, couldn't handle Pouille :-D:-D
