2019 ATP Sudden Death League: Madrid

Really tempted to pick Fognini :-D, but also Wawrinka and Cilic. Last year lost in this round when Lajovic was too much for del Potro , and now I have a feeling that if I pick Cilic, another serb not named Djokovic is going to eliminate me in the same round.

What about Sisipas?

Thought about it but I was thinking of picking him for the QF (unless all of a sudden Zverev starts playing like last year). If I go with Tsitsipas now, then for the QF I'd need to pick winner of Thiem/Fognini against Federer, or Tsitsipas' rival so I don't use Djokovic or Nadal.

Bottom line, I'm 99% sure I'll pick the wrong player for the next round :-D. Guess I'll wait to see the rest of the results today, maybe Zverev has a good match and becomes a good pick for tomorrow who knows.

Want to make it clear, as I have some doubts about Monfils tomorrow. If he retires during the match my back up will be used, right? But should it be someone who is playing after Federer, or I can pick for example Djoko as BU?

If the match begins and Monfils retires after even just one point is played, you advance. If it’s a pure walkover with no play, that is when your b/u is used.

Still no clue on who to pick tomorrow, leaning towards the Cilic match because I never learn
