Fed is money on overheads
True, although I'm liking what I'm seeing so far.Probably true, but that's a very low bar. He was garbage in Cincy and at the USO, LC is an exo and he was atrocious against Zverev in China.
Well, look at the positives - at least that means he isn't currently garbage, and honestly in the current climate that's a v good thing.Probably true, but that's a very low bar. He was garbage in Cincy and at the USO, LC is an exo and he was atrocious against Zverev in China.
The USO was disappointing. The first 2 rounds were definitely garbage, and obviously the QF was another Backerer debacle.Probably true, but that's a very low bar. He was garbage in Cincy and at the USO, LC is an exo and he was atrocious against Zverev in China.
The USO was disappointing. The first 2 rounds were definitely garbage, and obviously the QF was another Backerer debacle.
But rounds 3-4 were arguably the best tennis he's played all year.
That will be Diwali festival in India !!Federer looking good for #21 on Sunday.
He'll be 39 the next time he plays NY. He doesn't need to figure anything out because we shouldn't expect him to win that event anymore either way. Even in good conditions it's a slow hard court at the end of the year. That injury cost him a golden opportunity tbh.
He needs to figure out the night matches at Ashe though.
Yup, celebrations have already started hereThat will be Diwali festival in India !!
I think about it after every game he wins from 40-15and here I sit still thinking about the Wimby final MPs
why
Here too, Fed breaks in the first game of the second! -partyhat-Yup, celebrations have already started here
Roger could retire with 30 slams and I'll still be thinking about those MPs 50 years from now.and here I sit still thinking about the Wimby final MPs
why
The cross we have to bear all our lives.and here I sit still thinking about the Wimby final MPs
why
He's 38.5 years old, there ain't no "waltzing" into even a 250 event at that age.@BeatlesFan Federe in this form should waltz right into Paris.
Roger could retire with 30 slams and I'll still be thinking about those MPs 50 years from now.
YupThose match points just don't go from the mind at all
I feel you.and here I sit still thinking about the Wimby final MPs
why
Sadly this has proven to be true. In order to erase this, Roger will have to win another slam, preferably Wimbledon. Those match points just don't go from the mind at all
Federer just plays a different game than Djokovic. So Tsitsipas can beat Djokovic but can't beat a 38 years old Federer? As I said many times, for some reason players are just too afraid of Federer. I don't believe current Federer right now is a better play than current Djokovic. But he is much better against the field.
Roger could retire with 30 slams and I'll still be thinking about those MPs 50 years from now.
And by beating Djokovic or Nadal.Sadly this has proven to be true. In order to erase this, Roger will have to win another slam, preferably Wimbledon.
Nope.Well, they probably would fade from my mind if people didn't keep bringing them up.
Ironically, if he had won it would have faded from your emotions by now.
Lol, what Nadal has to do with it? Nadal stopped being a tough opponent for Federer looooooooooooooooooong time ago. The only tough opponent for Federer right now is Djokovic. He is the rival, not Nadal. And by beating Djokovic or Nadal.
It would help if Roger actually said that in an official interview and not behind the scenes to an old friend. But I get why he doesn't.James Blake just said, "Roger told me he's not improving anymore, that's impossible. I'm just trying to get back to what I once was." All those clueless Djokovic-Nadal fans who think he's "peak" need to take notice.
