It is a little pitiful watching Nadal these days. He is laboring so hard but his game is rather limited. The frustration is usually on his face as he understands this against the very best.
He could be a perennial QF/SF slam type of a player - until he decides to call it a day.
It is really hard to see Nadal winning more slams. Maybe another F.O - but that's about it.

The scoreline looks wonderful, first set aside. ;)

Hopefully this is not Rafa's ceiling for this year's American hard courts. Needs more to contend for the US Open...

You are clearly Nadals biggest fan!

For those who are saying Nadal is serving at his best- his avg 1st serve speed was 111.5 mph and avg 2nd serve was 95 mph.

That is much much lower than UsOpen 2010/Fall 2010 and even far lower then 201

According to many scholars of this forum, Nadal is finished since at least 2005.
Their predictions continue to make history.
:D
If he keeps getting USO17 draws at slams and masters, he will have even more longevity than Fed

Sorry, I don't see any excuses for him always being pathetic against this mug. It's awful to have a mental block against Federer and Djokovic. But against FOGNINI??? The mug of mugs? Seriously? I'm actually being nice to him.

Nadal will not win this match, he will probably lose 6-2 6-2. Did you even see how bad he plays?
Fognini is still winning the match.
So much for your predictions. Should I start talking about how horrible your predictions are now like you were going on and on in the Nadal News thread after his wimbledon SF?

LOL, AO: Final RG: Champion W: Semifinal

and you talk as if he were Zverev

Nadal, when asked about the difference between 2005 Rafa (vs Agassi) and 2019 Rafa: ''If I could have the knowledge of the sport I have now, but the legs I had then, I would be a very, very good player (laughs)''. #CoupeRogers

I always think that Nadal wasted several years in developing a more aggressive tennis, especially in hardcourts.
His prodigious physique was a double-edged sword that allowed him to win many matches (and titles) on his favorite surface, but that, perhaps due to the complacency of his technical team, prevented him from looking for ways to exploit everything that great potential that Spaniard had since the beginning of his career and that was in his gene.
He was a precious gem without polishing.
It took him a long time to play Nadal, the tennis he always had to play, as I said, on fast surfaces, although there was also the permanent clay monster that also hid that and that could save him many hours of work on that surface. That would have given him a better chance of winning a greater amount of important titles on hard courts and on grass.
I guess it's never too late to realize our mistakes.
:cautious::whistle:

Uhm.. What that has to do with the match?

Uhm, nothing? Just like 90% of the comments on every thread in this forum.

But if you want to see something better, check the tsitsipas nadal madrid thread, where a guy posted like 100 times non stop just so he could get to 10.000 messages :-D

Not really. Or if it’s a bot then he can work on multiple forums and langueges and even have a sense of humor from time to time :p
He sure is a Debbie downer though who always has a very pessimistic view of Rafa and almost always downplays his achievements - even when presented with a logical viewpoint. Not to mention def sounds like is programmed by default to say Rafa will lose every single match, never heard a single positive from him. So bot theory could hold water ;)

Also, I haven't read anything that highlights his sense of humor yet either lol but I'm not on these boards that much so don't know.

Jokes aside, he could be a real person but just has a peculiar way of posting which gets old real fast. Pick up any of his posts and it would be how Rafa sucks these days and how he predicted every one of his losses (which he has bee wrong about many times). Predictable.

I know him for a very long time from our local forum, so that’s where my knowledge come from ;)

He usually shuts down with his sheet when Nadal wins a Slam, but only until the next tournament.
