Wow Basilashvili just returned two massive sitters, huge fail from Tsits. Lucky to escape that set point.

Can't believe this guy is top 10.

Basilashvili has never gone past the 4R at a Masters tournament or a slam. He's also never had a top 10 win at a Masters tournament or a slam.

Yet he's won three ATP500 tournaments and has four (possibly 5 today) top 10 wins.

Gee this has been quite a poor performance in the 2nd set by Basilashvili. Guess that's why he hasn't gone deep at slams and Masters. Ah the inconsistency of the ATP tour..

These courts are looking very fast. Does anyone have idea what is pace index for these courts ?

Basilashvili is just a walking bye for any 3R seeded opponent at a slam (assuming he even gets that far). He'll drop 7 spots to #26 with a loss today but he'll likely still be seeded for the Aus Open thanks to that ATP500 Hamburg title.

Talk about majoring in minors.

Tsitsipas escapes Basilashvili in 3 sets.

Poor performance from the Georgian in the last 2 sets.

Stefanos into his first QF since Washington.

Anyone catch the all Bamos bashing affair on court 17 between DieGOAT and Fiasco? Yikes I don't know how they do it. Fiasco brought out the fearhand and the big grunts but even that wasn't enough to hold off the little man.

Diego forces a 3rd setter, Querrey was pretty crappy in that 2nd set tiebreaker.
Hard to believe he was pushing top 10 and beat Djokovic at Wimbledon. (yes I know that was basically a different player from this Sam but still).

Actually, I think Felix played very poorly. He basically only held his serve a couple of times. Far too many shots going way out and just not being patient enough on the court. He's been struggling since Toronto, and only won a couple of matches. I wonder if he's just tired at this point?

Just a small observation. Fognini appears to have switched from using white tac overgrips to a Tourna grip (unsure if the OG version or a Tac/Mega Tac variant).

These crowds are pathetic.

I know China has billions and billions of dollars and can fundraise all these ATP and WTA events with big prize money despite getting no crowds but as a tennis spectator, this sucks to see.

Surely China could pay some of their citizens to attend the tennis. I mean the attendance is abysmal.

Fog V Rublev had a gradual, but nonetheless satisfying, meltdown from Rublev as it became clear Fog was just going to hit him clean off the court. A lot of good decisive stuff from the Fog, even in defence.

The more I see of the Fog, the more he seems like a player - like Kyrgios - that could benefit from majors going to BO3.
