Great volley from Nick brings up 2 MPs.

Nick breaks a string on 1st serve, MP. Ends up double faulting....

Nick said he challenged, but is denied. Says he won't play no more. I heard a shout, but nothing audible.

Crap ending, wtf... Poor forehand into the net to end the drama. 6/4 7/6.

Nick praising Simon in his speech, "he's been around for a while, knows how to win matches. Great guy to be around too."

Simon’s rhythm serving to save match point disrupted by Kyrgios’ prolonged outburst, not impressed.

Was at the citi open all day yesterday. Tsitsipas and Thompson were the most unlikeable players that I watched live. Tsitsipas's game is at least sick though, Thompson was just awful to watch.

Who is "N. Gombos"???? Never heard of him?

At least my prediction for the winner is still in it: Tsitsipas!

Longtime Slovakian Futures/Challenger player...750 total matches but only 34 of them main draw ATP matches. Has 7 Challenger titles, two of them this year and one of those on HCs just a few weeks ago. He’s one of two LLs (Gojowczyk) in the QFs.

Why did not you add Nickolas Kyrgious in poll?? He may surprise us all just like Acapulco 2019 where he refused to tank...

Kyrgios was disrespectful to everyone throughout the match, the umpire, the fans and his opponent, he is a disgrace to the sport.
You are fake news.
The fans applauded him and he was respectful to simon after the match. He wasn't happy with the ump as they have history.

2 pm Start Time, R8
Gojo v Edmund
Cilic v Medvedev
Not before 7 pm
Tsitsipas v Paire
St Nick v Gombos

Interesting lineup for this ATP 500, St Nick looks good for R4

Cheers
3fees :)

The first of two LLs to play a QF, Peter Gojowczyk, looks intent on playing the weekend with a 2-break 6-3 first set vs Kyle Edmund. On serve early in the second.

So much trouble with Kyle's ball toss today, screwing up his 1st serve percentage. Gojo sitting around 49% 1st serves in, nobody surprised.

Gojowczyk finally closes the match, 6-3 in the third, but not without trying to imitate Edmund himself in his infamous Paris’17 fold that made possible for Jack Sock to be a WTF participant.

I hope Cilic is willing to change direction DTL off the backhand today, trying to break down that cross-court backhand of Daniil's is a fools errand.
