I would love for delpo to be in the semi-finals against Djokovic because I think Djokovic can wear him down over 5 sex especially in cloudy cool conditions where they'll pose massive serve won't be as big of a factor

It happens every tournament, yet it's still head-scratching to me. It's not even like it's just the big 3 that are the exception.

The over 30s Stan, Monfils, Delpo, Fognini, etc are all cruising on the most physical surface.

Fognini has dropped a set in every round, and Del Potro has dropped three sets so far. The fact is that unless you have a big cushion over the other players, as the big three do, it's tough to roll through multiple rounds without dropping a set. Even Wawrinka and Nadal have dropped sets. Only Federer, Djokovic, and Monfils have not done so. I imagine that older players do get better at consistently beating players who aren't as good as them, though, and that does probably translate to not dropping random sets. Better concentration and focus with age.
