I don’t deny that Rafa had an issue tonight, but Sam Smith just suggested he didn’t even take a painkiller. I mean come on, how bad was it really???

I’m sure he’ll be fine, which means we should get a good match.

That is a legit question.

IW is just an M1000 tournament, and there is a bigger fish to fry: moral superiority.

:p
Unlike others I absolutely believe he was feeling pain. It makes no sense to fake an injury a set up and leading in the 2nd set. But I have to wonder if all the Big Three don't make excuses in their heads when about to face one of the others. Nadal has the huge loss to Djokovic at AO this year, and that was really bad. Now he faces Fed knowing he has not beaten him on HC since 2014. I think there is a 50/50 chance he will withdraw before tomorrow.

Ok, now I understand what it's like to want someone to win/lose so that some whiners could eat it. So apparently Nadal was cheating to get the better of Khachanov because he was in the dire need of some help as he was in danger of losing. Oh wait, he was not losing, and Khachanov was not doing something special. Why in the world would Nadal fake feeling discomfort in the knee? The lack of empathy combined with incessant b*tching is just beyond annoying.

He took a time out before his own serve as well, yeah he obviously had an issue, not sure how much it will effect him in the semis. Just a shame because either the match will be effected or it won't but all you'll hear about is the injury, was looking forward to a good quality no moaning Fedal match. Well actually I won't even be able to see it live so maybe I won't be missing much

I don't have empathy for Nadal because he's been doing this for 15 years and won 17 slams doing it. The fact that no one really knows if it's real or not says all you need to know.
If that seems normal to you then there's nothing more to be said. You guys all figured Nadal and his antics out, and it doesn't matter if he calls for an MTO, retires from a match, withdraws from a tournament - all part of his vicious plan to cheat everyone. Could he be in pain? Maybe. Who cares? Only crazy fanboys don't mock someone's injuries because they don't have an obsessive idea of them all being fake.

You can call me a crazy fanboy if you want. Doesn't matter to me. I've been watching Nadal since 2004. It's always something.

I know that there are no pro athletes that don't feel pain every day. Saying that is like saying the less important part of the truth. The more important part is whether one believes that whatever he feels is hampering him significantly, and the answer to that is "no". If he can take down 7-6 7-6 an opponent serving in the 80ies, then whatever he feels is irrelevant. It was a nice show, but no cigar.

If he withdraws, it is his business.

If he doesn't, he is ready to play.

End of.

The commentators yapped so much about Nadals knee it got ridiculous, one said he had the same condition and yapped and yapped about it ,then, they both changed there tune when he had match points.

Cheers

I never say anything about TUE or buttpicking like a lot do. But, the injuries and time wasting is ridiculous.
His time wasting needs to be addressed more seriously, absolutely agree, but it is a different concern. The way I see Nadal's injuries are often being mocked and laughed at here is evil. Saying "he does all the time" is not a reasonable argument to justify nasty things that people say, I hope you understand.

I get it. Some go overboard. I try not to, but sometimes I can't help but say something. It's all good (y)

wow Joko just took a hundred Twenty-One miles an hour and for some reason against kohlschreiber he was putting in for service at 97
