The best in his game is that he is a true all courter: can volley decently, can lob, does't panic from anywhere on court.

Overall very pleasant game.

does seem to have a decent all around game. This is the 1st time I watched him play though. So will reserve further judgement till I see him play more.

Like 90% of fluctuations in their form were Fognini. Djokovic was a bit up and down but when Fognini was bad they were terrible and if Fognini started goating they were unplayable.

Khachanov has the charisma of a dried up grape to boot. These guys are why I won't watch tennis anymore when Fed/Rafa/Djokovic are gone for good.

Khachanov playing 2 poor TBs again vs nadal.
nadal did look a little affected in a game or 2 in the 2nd set, but IMO looked ok after that.

Rafa hit more aggressive shots and went more for the lines after the MTO to compensate for his movement.

All I can is at least Hurkacz (NextGen C team) and Khachanov (B team) made a very credible accounting of themselves. Hurkacz at least had break back point in two seperate games later in the 2nd including the final game.

I don't really call the Big 5 geriatrics very often. Their pigeons and LostGen are in full, full retreat. Monfils and Raonic lead the way in the ATP race. RBA just made way to geriatric land and 10th in ATP race. Bendych 17, Tsonga 21, Isner 23, Cuevas 31. Nobody is shaking in their boots with this group.

Real bummer for Kachanov - lost against someone who withdraw on the next round. I'm all for a rule change that allow Kachanov to play in place of Nadal against Federer. Maybe it's not fair for Fed cause he would've had a free pass to the next round. Well, can't please everyone. It's a spectator sport - gotta also consider the fans who paid good money to watch the semifinal match.
