He has easier power, heavier ball. Djokovic usually had to take big hacks at the ball to generate that kind of pop. In that ways it is more reminiscent of Fedal (although his mechanics are different).

He does have a considerably heavier ball than Djoker. No doubt.

Amazing that FAA can break a guy like this down so thoroughly even at this age, and with all of the skills still so raw.
not really surprising. Every single part of his game has a higher ceiling than Tsitsipas, when he's consistent and Stef is a bit off, result like this is possible.

average serve speeds 124/101 for FAA. That's huge, especially encouraging on the 2nd serve (I know he DF'd a few times, but that kind of speed is massive, he was spinning in a lot of 80s crap before)

I watched Sao Paulo and he was not serving as well as he did today.

But you can see how quickly he is improving this year.

he's much more aggressive than Nadal.

Game of his own is right, he combines a lot of things that are special.
Nadal was similarly aggressive in his raw days!

don't be foolish to act as if FAA has anything that similar to Djokovic

FAA is definitely the next Nadal!

Tpas the next Federer!

if they reach their full potential...

and this match fit the mold of the early ATG meetings.

Tsitsipas can't return for sh*t compared to Federer. (yes, young Federer)

FAA isn't close to Nadal either.
Comparing Tsitsipas to Federer is bananas considering the difference in FHs lol (and athleticism).

He's closer to Gasquet with a better serve lol.

Felix isn't really like anyone, in a good way. Physically, closest thing we've seen is Safin but Felix hits a much heavier FH.

more sucky judgement...

as expected from you.

absolutely hopeless observations from you. Never ceases . :)

Young federer was handling the serves of Sampras/krajicek/Goran etc. at 19/20 with ease.
Tsitsipas' return sucks big time in comparision. Relies a lot on clutch tennis to win his sets.

Open your eyes and look at the reality.

How's FAA the next Nadal. He's nothing like Nadal. He's very unique in that he's naturally aggressive, hits the ball early and generates enormous easy power off his groundstrokes. He's got the aggressive intent and 1-2 punches of Federer and the groundstrokes of Joker.
And he's 6'4" with great movement and the makings of a huge serve. If he reaches anything close to his potential, he's going to absolutely roast everyone else in his generation given what we've seen from the rest of them.

no he doesn't.

he has much more margin on avg than Djokovic who focuses more on precision.

his game is generally high margin, high intensity, high disruption tennis; just like Nadal.

he is generally more aggressive than Nadal is now on avg, especially in this particular match. However, Nadal was similar in his 'rawer'/younger days and certainly was against Federer in some of their early matches!

FAA is the new Nadal, regardless of how impossible Nadal detractors think that may be.

heh, tsitsipas' FH is quite a bit better than Gasquet's though.
haven't watched FAA anywhere as much as you, but definitely one to keep an eye on.
