Coric gets the W over Garin in a final set TB - I think Garin was up 5-3? Not a huge disappointment for me as I like both players. Coric seems to be getting decent at clawing matches back, and Garin is showing promise away from clay.

De minaur another flash in the pan who was good for a short spurt and now back to garbage. Lost to amateur Jordan Thompson

Gasquet! I didn't think he'd make it this far given he's just getting back into competing after his surgery. Glad to see he's feeling better.

He played four clay tournaments but never past 2R. At this stage of his career the grass suits him better...defending champion so he likes the Dutch grass.

Meh, he played those four but he was just back from surgery. He can still make his way past week 1 of some clay tournaments when healthy I believe.

Glad that Borna has been playing well! (: I am rooting for him to win! (:

Gasquet v Coric final?

Would Reeshard to take it, but think it'll be Borna.

Both have to finish their SFs on Sunday due to weather and are one TB and one game away from defeat. Mannarino actually served for the match vs Coric at 5-4 third set but was broken before heading to the TB. Thompson leads Gasquet 7-5 5-3 when play resumes.

30-40 if I understand correctly ... So they could just come out for three points. Or Gasquet could mount an epic fightback.

Or Richard breaks only to get broken back and lose. Sounds more likely somehow.

It seems more likely a deuce game hold FTW with Thompson getting ample practice serves while Gas-K doesn’t have the luxury of practicing returns as part of the warmups.

Thompson fails to serve out breaker at 6-5 and classic Manny garbage pass takes the breaker 9-7 much to Thompson's chagrin.:D

If Baldarino isn't careful, he could be winning his maiden ATP title here. Julien B will be appalled!

"I just don't know what got into him today. He's definitely off my Christmas card list, that's for sure!"

;)

Congrats to Mannarino on getting 7th time lucky in ATP finals (lost previous 6). He joins a list of 8 other players who have won their maiden ATP titles this year (Sandgren, De Minaur, Londero, Opelka, Dere, Albot, Pella, Garin).

The search for a worthy successor to the legendary Benneteau (10 ATP finals lost) goes on! ;)

Another French speaking player has reached 30% of Ben E Toe’s futility today, non?
