Federer is servinig nowhere near as well as Opelka. Plus, his movement looked unimpressive at best against Monfils.

By Shanghai final Rafa was on 16 match win streak. I think it was the main factor.

@HetTheGreaterer I'm not optimistic about Roger beating Thiem solely because of his age. 25 year Roger would beat him easily, but those days are long in the past. However, I disagree with some posters thinking Thiem will "destroy" Roger. I think it'll be 7-5, 6-4 for Dom. I think your 70%-30% for Thiem is accurate. It wouldn't be shocking to me if Roger somehow won. Roger beating Djoker in the next round though? I'd put that one at 88% Nole, 12% Roger.

I think Thiem has to slip up somewhere and condition suit Roger here. The court suits fast play, and roger has the ability to take the time away for Thiem to prepare his shots.

It all depends on whether Roger wakes on the right side of the bed tomorrow.

@Hitman I have always liked Rafa more, but I have to say, I respect Djokovic perhaps a bit more. He came back from mental doldrums and nobody's ever done that in men's tennis. That was truly spectacular. I don't expect Roger to win the FO, obviously, so my second favorites would be Stan or Fognini. I would root for them over Djokovic, but in an RF final against Nadal, I would root for Novak. And I would say that even if both were sitting at, say, 18 majors. I feel Novak is too far behind Roger's slam count to catch him, so I can still root for him on occasion, even in slams. Now if he gets to 19, then I would root against him in every slam. That's my honest answer.
