I think Roger can reach final. I have hopes on him. I didn't like Stan in his third round

As usual everyone will get it wrong just as with most of these votes. No one voted for Thiem in IW yet he won. Same will happen here.

Okay, tell you what. Federer or Djokovic win IW and I'll stop voting in "who will win" posts.

If they do win, you stop posting about "armchair experts claiming to know who's going to win." Okay?

Roger has a tricky draw, would easily be his best tournament win in quite a while if the projections held. I can’t see it though. Novak might have a test or two as well.

Any word of the court speed. I knew it's a new venue but it didn't occur to me that it could effect court speed as well.

This looks interesting...
Let's hope so. Illness put quite a damper to IW, not to mention Djokr's walkabout and Nadl's physical issues. Maybe Monfils will make another run, continuing where he left off at IW? Let's hope most can complete their matches and we get some barn-burners too. :giggle:

Gunneswaranreshs cruising in 1R qualies vs overmatched Challenger ancient journeyman AMM. Gulab jamun supply in Miami will be taxed as the teatchings of Coachreshs create a deep run at The Hard Rock!

I think Wawrinka beats Federer in their 3rd round meet.
Nishikori beats Zverev in the final.

I actually have the following Quarters:
Zverev-Shapovalov
Wawrinka-Khachanov
Nishikori-Thiem
Raonic-Djokovic

And yes, Raonic beating Novak for the first time.

Bit of a diamond age party in the bottom quarter, isn't it?

And Cilic.

Didn't realize the draw was out so quickly.:p ...Thiem has a beautiful draw with his pigeon Monfils R16 and not much before. Coric, Nishikori, and Kyrgios very credible threats if they come through. Djoko has very credible draw, but Bendych might be a rude awakening for his first match especially given Djok's from at IW.

Not sure about Diamond Age party in bottom half as it all seems evenly distributed in that no early clashes, so a chance for the group as a whole to do well.

Federe got a raw deal with Wawrinka R32, Medvedev R16 (his last gasp before clay to add to his impressive 2019 points total), and Khachanov QF may be no picnic if Karen keeps gaining momentum. Zedrot has just a cake draw and could show for SF fresh as a daisy and he did make final last year, so no bargain there (Thiem has not dazzled in Miami, so maybe Fed would have been better off with another crack at him.)

All in all a nice draw, but hold on qualifiers has a lot to offer: FAA, Ruud, Mikael Ymer, Tsonga
, Rublev, Opelka, and Albot all alive after first round. Thiem could get one of these for his 2nd match and Tsonga in particular would not be a welcome site. Federe could get a hot qualifier for his first match as could Tsits and Shapo.

Quite soft draw for Djokovic. There will be no early loss here, unless he tanks again to focus on the real goal, of course.
Is RBA perhaps in his head? :sneaky::laughing:

Stan and Fraud again... Too bad. I had high hopes for Stan in Miami, not so shure now.

Let the games begin!
