ATP H2H: 3-0 for Djoker

Their second meeting this year, the first was at AO, where Medvedev gave the future winner the toughest resistance.
For the first time in his career, Medvedev won three clay matches in a row, will his series continue, or for the first time since 2015 (won event), Djoker will advance to Monte Carlo in SF?

Djoko looks more motivated this week. He knows he needs to up his level before Paris! This is still a warmup but he will want a decent clay season before RG. This could be tough but think Novak will advance.

We could get a djokodal final!

Djokovic 6-4, 6-1. I was predicting Nadal to win MC (went way out on a limb on that one).... but if it's a Djoker-Rafa final, I'm giving Djokovic the edge. Owns Nadal mentally now.

eh?

seems like a pretty open and shut case

Djoker might have a lapse at some point but do you see Med as someone that can take him out?

Absolutely. Novak at the moment is not at his 2nd-weekend-of-a-slam level. He should prepare for a big fight from the Russian.
If he gets past Med, it would be Rafa's turn to feel nervous.

According to Novak, Medvedev asked him at the net, "Did I make you sweat at all?"

Medvedev's defence will annoy Djokovic, but on clay can't really see him win unless Novak has a bad day.
His backhand can do well on the surface, but that flailing forehand is very vulnerable.

Djokovic should play Medvedev as the tour plays Zverev.

Target the forehand and make him move forward ever so slightly and be forced to bend down and hit up on the ball.
