That guy played nothing like a qualifier. The match was closer than the score suggests and he had multiple chances to break Novak but Novak servebotted to fend him off. He also was very good from the baseline. Sorry if you cannot see that but your viewpoints are typically against the grain.

Yeah, made tons of errors to get broken in the third set. Great from the baseline indeed. Reading Djokovic fans one might think he never had a win over a weak opponent, all the opponents he beats are potential all time greats and playing the match of their lives. But when Djokovic loses-his opponent was weak, Djokovic was simply awful.

At least they don't treat Novak like some club level player like you do for Nadal, and you're apparently a Nadal fan.

And what about you? Everytime Nadal beats someone you find a reason to say how bad Nadal is playing and how he doesn’t stand a chance to win anything anymore, even if it was just a couple of points or at most a set Mr Goffin kept with him yesterday. Have more confidence in your man and stop being such an insecure ***** regarding the level of your man and that of his opponents.

You want me to act like everything is perfect when Nadal lost a set to Goffin who wasn't playing well by any means?

Yea after being continually pressured by Djokovic, who is one of the best baseliners out there may I add. I never said he was playing the match of his life or a potential all time great. I said he played well above his ranking. I don't know what you're getting at it but I'm moving on.

No, but you were overreacting by posting every minute about how Goffin was going to win the match since he broke Nadal. Have a fair assessment, Goffin played really well for one set but couldn’t keep it up as seen in the 4th set. No one’s saying Nadal is at GOAT level right now but he isn’t so poor like what you keep suggesting.

I think the opponents so far are too weak (I've never heard of any of them before) to use to judge Novak's level. Next round will be a first test for him.
I'm still worried when his routine one bad match per GS will happen.

Is it weird that I don't even know the names of most of these players? I mean I heard Tsitsi, Thiem, but don't know half of the other ones. The state of tennis is awesome and pathetic at the same time. The big three is awesome, the rest is blah....

Very impressive from Novak. He just keeps getting better and better. Makes tennis look easy even on his weakest surface.

Even though his game style is not the most attractive, I really feel his tennis acumen and raw talent is as much, if not more, than Federer.

None of djokovics opponents have been weak so far. Lots of young talent out there.

People will make excuses. But the fact is Djokovic has been brilliant so far. His opposition has NOT been weak at all.
Djokovic is just playing like the best player in the world. Even on clay. And no one can stay with him when he is in that mood.

To me his domination of the tour right now is even more impressive than Federer's. Federer, even at his best, was not able to play as well on clay and beat Nadal as many times Djokovic has done.
Djokovic also seems to be mentally stronger in general. He doesn't have all the numbers right now, but if he wins more slams, he could go down as the greater player.

I'm not referring to now. Think of 2012/2013/2015 when Djokovic challenged and even beat Nadal more than Fed ever did.

He's a machine and right now he looks invincible in slams. He could do CYGS in 2019 and I guess then at least all GOAT debates would stop.
Djokovic is the next level of tennis evolution. A player that does not make any mistakes and never gives you an inch.

Djokovic didn't beat Nadal on clay in 2012, he won one set in 3 matches. In 2013 he won one match in MC and lost in RG. How is that better than Federer beating Nadal in Hamburg 2007 or Madrid 2009? Bringing 2015 is a joke and you know it. This was Nadal's worst year ever and any Federer between 2005-2012 would have destroyed him that year.
