Moonballing IS tennis.

As much as a serve, or a volley or a slice.

You even said it yourself.

CLAY, a surface used in A SPORT CALLED TENNIS.

That lack of awareness of that fact probably comes from a combination of fanboyism and entitlement that only what I like is what's valuable in a sport.

Nope. This isn’t beach volleyball.

Thiem has reverted to brainless ball bashing, this could be over soon if he doesn't cool his head. Shame considering how well he played in the first set.

You need to watch court level views of Nadal's shots. The camera angle doesn't do them justice. They look like moonballs from above, but in reality they are 3500rpm rockets traveling at an average speed of about 78 mph.

Nadal has one of the highest average shot speed on tour. Right there with Del Potro.

Djokovic does a good job handling it but it’s hard to keep that level up in the best 3 out of 5. The year he beat nadal in straights nadal had lost a lot of confidence.

There is zero point in rationally explaining something to someone who just tried to dismiss a guy for winning 6 majors.

Nadal escapes Djokovic yet again. Must have had a party last night when he saw what happened.

Sad.

The challenge winning against Nadal on clay is that the other player needs to play 110%, while Rafa just needs to play his usual 90-100%. And keep the 110% for 5 sets.
