Wawrinka already has a win over Nadal in Paris.Nope.

Anybody knows what the hell happened to Thiem? How could he get owned by 2019 Dimitrov?
On this court anybody is dangerous for Nadal. If a player has a decent serve and powerful shots then he has everything to trouble Nadal here. So I can't even look past Wawrinka.Btw, @StrongRule who do you prefer as QF opponent: Tsonga or Struff? Can’t decide. Struff’s game can be more powerful, but Tsonga has rhe crowd boost.
Brainless bashers like Shapovalov doing well kind of sums up these courts. On this court anybody is dangerous for Nadal. If a player has a decent serve and powerful shots then he has everything to trouble Nadal here. So I can't even look past Wawrinka.

And? Montreal is the second fastest Masters.2017 Canada
I watched the match and agree with everything Ghost said. Djokovic was looking disinterested and disengaged the entire Edmund match. I still favor him against Tsitsipas but he'd going to have to get interested in this event if he's going to hang on to make the final or win it.
Wawrinka with a "bad back" and 3-18 against Nadal. If he gets 8 games it'll be a shock even on a fast indoor court.Nope.
I never said he wasn't the prohibitive favorite, I said he was disinterested and disengaged. A Djokovic at 75% of his normal level beats anyone else in the field and he always ups his game against Nadal off clay. If Nadal and Djoker reach the final, Nole's the heavy favorite.Who other than Tsitsipas is going to beat him? Nadal/Wawrinka or who??? Zverev (may lose this round)? Dimitrov lol? I think Novak becomes a huuuge favorite if Stefanos can't take him out.

Zed didn't go dead too quickly so hopefully something very minor, but you cringe with a player that size.Denis will now serve for the match - (nail biting time)

Nadal improved a bit at the end of 2015 though. But yeah, that was an awful match. Some EPIC level of choking from both players. That was 2015 mentalmidgetal though. Wawrinka beat him 7-6(7) 6-2 in Rome and 7-6(7) 7-6(8) in Paris. if I recall correctly, Nadal had SPs in all three TBs. Outside of those two matches and the injury-ridden AO final, Nadal lost exactly 0 sets in 18 victories.

Then again, I'm assuming his sickness is just a bug. We'll see.
Thank God Denis took out the trash today, it just took a lot longer than it should have,
Starting to pay attention to how often Struff neurotically puffs on his hands.
I didn't know I could count so high
Hello StrongRule.Stephanos also has NOTHING on Novak. Just one victory doesn't change anything.
The only players who could challenge Novak on this surface are Medvedev and Federer. Both are not in the tournament.
Unless he is sick/injured - I don't see anyone coming CLOSE to beating Novak here.

Oh lord, they are like the fastest they've been in 15 years or something.Even the so-called fastest surfaces seem awfully slow today.
Good point. Novak was garbage in both matches, though, and without much motivation.
I expect him to play much better tomorrow.
If TsiTsiPas beats Novak again tomorrow, then yeah - there is starting to be a bit of a matchup issue.
