That was not a regulation return. You hit part of the racquet and the ball somehow lands closer to the baseline. You miss 9/10 of those.
Even Djokovic wouldn't be making returns on that big of a serve.
Nadal's ROS is bad when he misses sitter serves,or returns inside the baseline.

Medvedev played better in this match than in Montreal, that's for sure. But he needs to spend a lot of time on his net tactics. He seems to always approach the net one shot too late. He will get a lot more easier points from players.

Although... I'm not sure it matters. Medvedev's current game is good enough to beat pretty much everyone else on tour. Including Djokovic and Federer.

Med's been fighting hard this set but Rafa upped his game after the first two sets and put on a clinic so far hitting balls with more authority. Rafa's confidence grew big.
