That Game penalty in the 2nd set. That was probably unnecessary. She didn't swear at the umpire or anything. she was just arguing that she wasn't coached during the changeover.Which penalty should the Referee have over-ruled?

Liar and Thief............ok that is not nice words. but ATP tour players say much worse things to Umpires and dont' get any warning. I heard players call umpire "Incompetent", "Blind", "Not paying attention to the match". and nothing happens... So yea, Carlos could have restrained himself from making that 3rd game penalty call... and Refree could have reversed that one.Hmmmmmm
Serena Williams calls umpire a 'liar' and 'thief' as Naomi Osaka wins US Open final – video
The 23-times grand slam champion angrily responded to a code violation for coaching by telling the chair umpire that she'd "rather lose" than cheat, and the incident only escalated from therewww.theguardian.com
Patrick said in a recent special that was the “first time ever he made a hand gesture to her”, thought that was funny.
They should have blanket warnings for both genders. Two wrongs don't make a right.Liar and Thief............ok that is not nice words. but ATP tour players say much worse things to Umpires and dont' get any warning. I am pretty sure there is something in the rules about not questioning the judgement call of an official after a challenge or something of the sort. Serena went on and on, into the changeover, and wouldn't stop. Venting is one thing but carrying on the way she did was unnecessary. Also, calling him a liar when he clearly saw what happened, then called her out, correctly, for throwing a fit and smashing her racket? No, sorry, there are rules and he enforced them. The Tournament doing this is basically sending a message that he was wrong in everything that he did and sends a message to players they can apparently just carry on however they see fit.
as long as serena didn't make threats to Carlos like she did to that lines woman in the past year, I don't see why she should get a game penalty at that point.

Rubbish. Halep hung on in rallies, not only in the final, by virtue of getting time from the surface. Ludicrous to suggest she evolved. The grass was slow(er), but the finals outcome (to examine one match) had little to do with that. It was--more than anything else--a player finally learning how to outplay the other.
Konta's game reminds me a bit of Muguruza. Both hit big off both wings, but they also have awkward/rigid strokes that only work when they're playing well. When having an off day, they can lose to anyone. Personally I think the strokes are ugly but to each his own.Konta - Kasatkina
I love Konta's game.
She's easy on the eyes, gives great............interviews,
goes for her shots, is quiet on court, has power off both sides,
very decent serve, excellent mover. Good thinker.
nvmwow Konta looks excellent
Make that 0-5. Is anybody watching? This scoreline is slightly unexpected..Hmm. Barty down 0-3 against Diyas. Usually Diyas starts to falter later in the sets, though.
What a shame. She was so lovely when I met her briefly.Oh god.. Garcia is one game from going down to Ons. The woman can't catch a break..
Edit: and out she goes, Ons takes it 7-6(8) 6-2. I feel bad for Garcia, but excited to see how far Ons manages to go this year!
Bernarda (65) ekes out the second set v. Bolkadzve (202), phew! Let's see if she can keep the momentum going.
I wish, I'm enjoying my lunch break at work, while frantically trying to keep up with the scores..Are you watching live? Someone is taking a long MTO.
Maybe the carbs will energize her for the second set.Barty fed the breadstick.
