This was good TV. Even on a Saturday night. Had my chance to go watch the new fast and furious movie but passed on it for this. Does that make me a loser? No. But maybe I'm too old to watch a movie till midnight on a Saturday night

Nick was so clutch during mp and when he got the minibreak by hitting two dtl backhands when tsitsipas was at net. Nick still won despite all of the antics and meltdown. Imagine if he was focused most of the time?

I only saw the 3rd set and could have went either way. If he could get his head out of his ass, stop worrying about legends who he will never reach and focus on himself, he could be a really great player among his generation and challenge Tsitsipas, who is going to the top of the game at some point.

He got distracted worrying about a fan again. Same old stuff. He looks like he may be better conditioned than he's been in a while. He's running stuff down and actually trying some of the time.
I only watched from 5-6 in the 3rd but saw enough. Having gone up 5-1 in the tie break he decided to play a game. The ball girl standing near him went to take the towel from him. He saw the girl on the other side of the court wasn't watching, so refused to give it to the girl positioned to take it, instead waiting in feigned impatience for the girl on the other side of the court to come and collect it. He then lost 5 points in a row and nearly the match. He got away with this match, but if you're constantly engaged in childish side games that distract you they'll cost you too many matches.

Novak doesn't even play Dubai anymore so fat chance of you seeing that happen and hasn't even played a 500 tournament this year (one 250). Lol. No the majority of us don't like him and for good reason, but don't let me stop you from enjoying his new ranking.

Exciting match! Had everything in it. Nick was obviously the better player, although Tsits had his chance, and blew it. Had he only not played the penultimate point so stupidly, lol! Anyway, Nick's show sweetened the losing pill. Great humor from him. Can't stop laughing over this:
Iirc, Tsits was beaten in last year's semi-final, too.
