I don’t see Sharapova beating Barty. Serve and groundstrokes were very shaky at times, and she didn’t look very fast around the court either. Very curious whether it will be a rout or somewhat close.

Garcia is 32th.
From mid tier Gavrilova is the worst of this season.

Possibly as long as she is considered box office. Even if she only goes 2 rounds, she will put some butts in the seats. Her match vs Barty should sell tickets. Might be obligated to do some meet and greet as a WC at this event as well.

Sorry to hear that Amanda Anisimova is still injured. Saw her break down, crying uncontrollably, after losing the 2nd set in her QF match vs Saisai Zheng in San Jose a couple of weeks back. Was likely extremely distraught that she had to play a 3rd set after serving for the match in set 2. After an MTO with a doctor and a trainer, she managed to finish that match. But subsequently pulled out of Toronto with the hopes of playing Cincy.

What a difference a few month makes: Kerber is ranked 13th and Andreescu 14th. Love to see a together again for another interesting match! Want to see the after match handshake ritual!

Ahhh, that's right. I'm still kind of curious to see how she would do with a former ATP player as a coach, but this should be a good fit for now. Like you said, we'll see how it goes.
I'm actually here as part of a training program for my job. Well, in Jersey City anyway. But I can take a train right over to Manhattan no problem. I actually did that today to go shopping at one of the Lacoste stores. I'm not sure if I will go to the Smash Bash as it's called, but we'll see about that too. It's not really my type of party/event, but I would love to get a photo and maybe chat with her briefly...If I wasn't too nervous anyway

I think everyone knew this was coming... my question is, why did she even bother traveling to Cincy? Should've just pulled out after the Toronto final. At least she did so before the match to give someone else a chance to play.
