Unsurprisingly, Serena is out with a back injury. I wonder if this is just about protecting a possible run at the USO? I really hate how cynical that sounds, but it's how I feel.
I've never said she should receive any preferential treatment from the tournament. I'm merely saying that if she plays her matches in the heat of the day she may succumb at one point and retire or lose a match. If it happens, so be it. It's part of the game.
Yep, he is super hot, from a good family, studied at Eton, works in arts and they look perfect together. It is in the UK rages such as The Sun, Daily, etc... She is dating some type of aristocrat’s family son. He is taller then Sharapova and maybe younger too!
OTOH, she is the most recent slam winner. She's a three-time finalist at this event. She was a finalist last year and the defending defending champion, Kiki, has already taken down by Venus. She's one of the most popular players on the tour right now. So it might be worth giving her an evening slot to draw in more people for a third-round matchShe ain't number one, she ain't past winners, she ain't American.
One should think why the hell should she get night matches and preference treatment.
With the matches will be play in consecutive days onwards, most likely she will play in days.
PS:
I'm not debating. Usually I use like buttons to say I'm not debating but it's gone now.
Simona plays the winner of Keys and Kasatkina who don't play until late afternoon today. I suppose they could make the winner of that match play again in less than 24 hours. But is that the norm?Yep. You are right and even the SFs and the F are played in the middle of the day so if the heat/humidity continues, she has little chance to go deep into this tournament on these grounds alone IMO. I hope she proves me wrong though. I've always hopped that one day she'll hoist the title in Cincy (and Rome for that matter) .....

Simona get night as you guys wish @ALEXT @SystemicAnomaly it's against Keys anyway she should win comfortably.
Edit: Keys will face Simona if she win, so might be.
Yup, Halepeno is favored but nothing is a certainty here. Simona said that she was not in pain right after her Wednesday match. However, something like that can always manifest itself hours later. But she will likely be okay as long as she takes sufficient countermeasures.Don't know about the winning comfortably part. There are very few predictable matches these days and we all know Keys can play good tennis out of the blue so I would not take it for granted that Halep will win this one.
Sloane is such a mystery to me. With all her athleticism and natural gifts, why does she play so defensively?
