I think both the Pure Strike and Blade will both sell to their respective brand loyal players equally.
Gravity...not so much.
I know a few folks are hitting with the new Blades, but only brand ambassadors and some high volume shops. The rest of us mere mortal players will have to wait a bit still.

Yeah, I posted some on my IG last week and had to take them down. Didn't know info wasn't out yet.
As someone mentioned already..there was a screenshot of a video where tsitsipas was hitting with it... exactly same as clash but green... it's no secret and has not been for a while... it's probably same matte paint. Dont mind the pj at all.. I am damn curious about how it plays tho... is it still control oriented etc...I might have a trouble to post a pic......

Except probably a little stiffer, with a different balance, and possibly a different flex point and profile... So... could be completely different... yet similar.
We'll have to see and hear when it comes out... unless you speak Japanese and therefore could understand all the teasers they have been releasing.

Strung, it is definitely softer than mid 60's. RA is not the end-all-be-all frame flex test either.

Does the Blade need to be softer? Of course the CV was stiff, but the models before it weren't. I'm wondering if Wilson just wants the "Clash technology" on everything.

I used the 2011 for a year or so and those frames were the jam. But they were not easy on the arm and I ended up with Golfers elbow of all things. I look back and it was probably me using too much arm and also using terrible poly strings at the time. I thought the stiffness was actually pretty nice that happened.
But that said, the H22 somehow has serious power while also feeling pretty soft. So if Wilson can replicate some of that in the Blade, they may have something.

Exactly. Was at my buddy’s shop today and he has the 16x19 in and is stringing it. Grabbed the Clash While I was there to get my 2015 Blades strung, and also bought a used Blade CV for $80. Good day for me!

Have you been able to hit with the 16x19 and is that the pattern you use in your blades now?

I've seen the new models as well. Really really nice PJ, and yes it's almost exactly like the Clash aesthetically. A college player happened to be around and tried the 16x19 (he uses the current Blade CV 16x19) and said it had noticeably more pop and better feel. This is a D1 college player mind you.
I think it's interesting how we went through several generations of racquets--across many if not all racquet brands--which leaned into the stiff and dampened territory only to take a u-turn and return to their flexier, feel-oriented roots.

I haven’t hit with it - just got to check it out so far. I am on the list for the 18x20, which is what I have in my 2015 Blades.
Official release will be July, and I was told a bit ago sticks would be in shops by August but seems a lot are already getting them.
I hadn’t hit with the Clash so figured I would try that to see how the Feel Flex tech is since the new Blade dumps CV for that. Hitting with that tonight [emoji1360]

Me too. Will first see how it feels with the Clash. Also bought the Cv Blade today so hitting with that. I hit with it before but never found a big enough difference in the CV from my 2015’s.
