I don't know enough of Vondrousova's game to have an idea if she can pick things up much, but yeah this isn't great so far.

With that said, Barty choked massively in the first set against Anisimova.

You can just see how well Barty's team have scouted Vondrousova's game with the dropshots. Barty just sees them coming. Meanwhile, Vondrousova just not handling the slicing well.

It might be one of those cases where the unorthodox and random variety throw people off too much.

It's probably the type of game that gets figured out after about a year on tour but I dunno. I haven't seen enough of her to comment much. All I can say is that this is awful.
