Bertens losing was like a dagger to most of us, as I think we all expected her to go much farther and use her later....its sort of why I picked Konta yesterday LOL...I expected Kiki to get revenge and go far.

That was a weird deal with the Chans in R1. Panova was scheduled to play with Kuzmova, who had to withdraw before her match with Elina. So they had plenty of time to find Panova a new partner, or just replace the team altogether. Neither happened for some reason, so the Chans got a freebie.
