I thought it was a good joke. Was just trying to be funny. Novak's stuff rubbing off on Fedr, overheadovic etc.
I apologise, didn't get much sleep last night![]()
Prime Federer's speed is so underrated in this forum, or at least to those who never watched him play in the mid 2000s. His ability to turn defense into offense was his biggest strength in my opinion. The problem for Fed is that he's ancient. 2004 Fed was FAR faster than anything Stef brings now.

That’s so true. People forget that Federer was a very good soccer player when he was young. He had blazing speed. But even better, his coordination and footwork that he likely picked up from soccer allowed Fed to so quickly set up that never-seen-before cannon of a forehand .
Sampras had a great forehand. But a slightly last his prime Sampras couldn’t hit through Hewitt. Federer at his best could blast his forehand through Hewitt with ease. This is no disrespect to Pete, who was a phenomenal all court player with a top-5 forehand in history. Fed’s forehand was on a different level.
Fed’s footwork here is phenomenal. It allowed him to set up so many sharp-angle shots from both wings.
In fairness tsitsipas did actually save some of them by his own play. There were some that Fed should have converted though. What is it about Tsitsipas that Fed chokes so badly on breakpoints.
Very sad stuff
From the ATP website:
Did You Know?
In Federer's two defeats against Tsitsipas, the Swiss went just 1-for-24 on his break point opportunities.
Fed has beaten Tsitsipas in the last two outing on tour, and well deserved wins, I think it is a credit to Tsitsipas that he has put them behind him and still hands tough in another match, because yesterday is not my tomorrowI think these numbers really hang in players’ mind. For Tsitsipas, knowing Fed is so hopeless helps him relax and serve big, in bps, the opposite for Fed. I can imagine Fed will only get worse in bps as he plays Tsitsi more. Sad.
What's also amusing is that Agassi looks ancient on the video, yet is 4 years younger than Federer today. That’s so true. People forget that Federer was a very good soccer player when he was young. Is this the first time you're watching Fed? He gets that all the time, are you gonna write the same S every time he loses?Fed crowd was again a disgrace but nice to see Stefanos shut them up![]()
True. Agassi was 33 here. This is 2003.What's also amusing is that Agassi looks ancient on the video, yet is 4 years younger than Federer today.
It must be the social media gen, feverishly counting likes and basing their existence on their favorite playing winning and hating the most popular guy. Back when Lendl played, his fans (like me) embraced him being hated and loved giving the finger to Mac. But the pre-Internet age is obviously long gone.Is this the first time you're watching Fed? He gets that all the time, are you gonna write the same S every time he loses.
No. I am just starting to call his fans out now after more and more matches (especially after losses). It is fun to see them act as if they have lost a child when he loses! Is this the first time you're watching Fed? He gets that all the time, are you gonna write the same S every time he loses?
Yes people prefer to support the GOAT over Stefanos "I like myself better naked" Tsitsipas, what's your problem?
Go see a doctor because you are seeing things that don't exist.No. I am just starting to call his fans out now after more and more matches (especially after losses). It is fun to see them act as if they have lost a child when he loses!
Go and find a better excuse than "Berrettini is a weak draw" for Nadal winning USOGo see a doctor because you are seeing things that don't exist.
That's impossible.Go and find a better excuse than "Berrettini is a weak draw" for Nadal winning USO
Maratha, I don't know if you have a business, but if you do, you know that your customers, clients, are the bosses, and they are always right, just like 20,000 crowds celebrate for every Novak error.. and shout and jeer at him ,so that he makes more mistakes .
This type of inconsistency has plagued grandpa for the past few years. He just cannot maintain that level of energy like he did in the past.Just don't understand how he can play as well as he did against Djokovic and then come out and play like this in the next match. Can anybody explain?
Couldn’t have asked for more! This is perfect actually. Federer at least did his job two days ago.It will be great to see one of the younger guys winning this tournament for yet another year.
You mean his attitude on break points and championship points at Wimbledon against DjokovicFederer's attitude on break points is super extreme. Either waits for the opponent to gift him the point or he goes way too risky at bad moments. It's like his whole balance is out of the window.
Why should he retire when he went farther than both Nadal and Djoker and beat Djoker????What a crappy year for roger federer. One to forget. Retirement should be around the corner.

WhoopsFederer in easy straights. Tsitsipas didn't get even 1 break point in a 3 hours match against a very bad Nadal. Just shows how overrated he is.

I'm still wondering why does it make so big difference.Djokodal ain't impressed much by these guys over BO5.
Won't always be that way. These guys have so much experience, in how to prepare to peak for the GS, how to play themselves into the tournament, how to manage the two weeks of Bo5. The day's rest between matches helps with recuperation also. There's a matter of a buildup of stamina also, probably.I'm still wondering why does it make so big difference.
Why Djokodal is beatable by them in BO3, but BO5 is totally different story?

I'll be quite surprised if all four slams go to the Big 3 next year.
He's not retiring as long as Djokovic and Nadal are still around. He's desperate to stop Djokovic and Nadal claiming the GOAT status, although his efforts will likely be futile at this point. It's virtually inevitable one of them wins more slams than him. What a crappy year for roger federer. One to forget. Retirement should be around the corner.
1/12Roger is the clear favorite, just not an overwhelming one.
The Australia match was an anomaly where Fed actually managed to outdo himself in BP conversion. They've played twice in Bo3 hard court since and Fed won comfortably both times, including just a couple weeks ago.
Fed's capable of dropping his level and randomly losing to anyone at his age (Hello Goffin 2017!), but even an average day at the office should be enough to beat Stefanos. Besides movement, there's not one thing Stef does better than Fed atm.
Feder 2017, nole 2018I can't recall the last time no one went 3-0 in the RR. All 4 semifinalists went 2-1.
If you're talking about 2013, it wasn't. He was injuredFed is six years older than Novak and 5 years older than Nadal, there is a massive difference in their ages in tennis terms. Fed's level when he was 32 was still solid day to day.
Fvck you fellaYeah doesn't have the look of a match that Fed will be able to turn around.
