That is the reason why Wawrinka can be in poor form, but agaisnt Djokovic he always raises his level in Slam matches.

It is almost like He forgets how to play tennis. Execute the basics. Also he reverts to passive baseline play. Just putting the ball back in play. Also massive mental issues in the matchup now. Might be 50% mental or more. Just compare stan against fedal. Beaten before he even steps on court. Crazy stuff.

I agree he raises his level, but bear in mind that he is still only 1-2 against Nole at the AO. Stan will raise his level, but in doubt he'll be in the form to take out Djokovic. I guess it could happen, but the chances are very low unless Djokovic is injured like he was at the USO this year.

It still takes Djokovic 5 sets to beat Stan. AO 2015 and USO 2013.

Wawrinka is far less likely to beat him on the new surface. But Stan, JMDP, Nishi, Cilic, Murray and other non big three players could definitely embarrass NextGen players earlier in the tourney.

Considering AO now does backstage draws (hence rigged) there's a good chance that Djokovic would draw Wawrinka. I expect a very soft draw for Federer. Nadal and Djokovic would get tough draws. Craig Tiley will do whatever he can to help his business partner.
