Neither do I. I admire and like him more because his lack of height makes the game more challenging for him. Yet he still performs incredibly well, all credit to Diego.

Medvedev is playing a much more aggressive brand of tennis than he played in 2019.

Consider the level of his opponent today and this is a completely no-stress match for Med. He probably wouldn't be playing this well or this freely against Djoker. And remember his spectacular choking against Rafa at the YEC last year.

Dude had a good summer run, but one where he struggled to win finals, which definitely called into question his mental strength.

Absolute destruction. Medvedev came to net so many times to finish points. I still don't understand why he won't do that during "real' matches. Pull the opponent wide and come to net. His wide rally ball is good enough for an approach shot.

As I was saying, Med didn't need to tank to have a quick match against Diego. 6-3 6-3 in an hour and a quarter, nice. Now get the rest and focus to take out The Nadal himself.

Tightest set was 6-4, too. Two of his 6-3 sets were double-breaks. And he's just looked better with each match.
